NEET PG 2023: MCC To begin Counselling Process Soon

Delhi: NEET PG 2023 counselling to begin soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for conducting the counselling process for seat allotment.

NEET PG 2023 exam was conducted on 5th March 2023. The result was declared on 14th March 2023, and the scorecard was released on 26th March 2023. The NEET PG 2023 counselling schedule will be published on MCC’s official website https://mcc.nic.in. The candidates who qualify in NEET PG 2023 conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will only be eligible for the counselling process.

The candidates will have to register themselves to apply for the counselling process. Registration can only be submitted online through the Medical Counselling Committee website www.mcc.nic.in. Registration submitted through any other mode will be summarily rejected.

The counselling process comprises online registration, fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment result, and reporting. The seat allotment will be done based on NEET PG 2023 results, choices filled by the candidates, availability of seats, reservation criteria, and other relevant factors. There are 4 rounds of counselling - round 1, round 2, mop-up, and stray vacancy round. If seats remain vacant after 1st three rounds, then only a stray vacancy round is conducted.

The candidates who appear for the counselling process need to keep the following documents ready –

1. 10+2 mark sheet

2. Admit card NEET PG 2023

3. Mark sheet NEET PG 2023

4. MBBS Degree Certificate

5. Certificate of internship completion

6. Registration certificate from the Medical Council of India

7. Caste, PwD Certificates (if required)

8. ID proof

NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, read with 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The 2023-24 counselling process will include AIQ 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories, State quota seats for all States/Union territories, All private medical colleges, institutions & universities/deemed universities, Armed Forces Medical Services, and Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6 years DrNB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses.
