Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that the date of document submission for PGET has been extended.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bengaluru, is the designated agency of the Government of Karnataka conducting counselling for allotment of seats for admission to Post Graduate Degree/Diploma Courses in Medical/Dental courses.

The date has been extended based on the requests from choice 2 fee-paid candidates, choice-3 candidates, and un-allotted candidates of round 1 PGET 2021 medical counseling. Now, candidates can deposit the original documents in the KEA office, Malleshwaram, Bangalore, on 21st February 2022 from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm.

To be considered for seat allotment, the candidate needs to get all the relevant documents verified by the competent authority. KEA has requested the candidates to present in a person with original documents. 

Documents to be submitted -

  1. KEA PGET Registration Form.
  2. Photo ID and proof of address.
  3. NEET PG admit card and scorecard.
  4. Class 10th and 12th mark sheet.
  5. MBBS Mark sheets of all years.
  6. Certificate from the head of the institution certifying that MCI recognizes the medical college.
  7. Qualifying degree certificate / provisional degree certificate.
  8. Certificate of internship completion.
  9. Central/State Medical Council Registration Certificate.
  10. Two passport-sized photographs.
  11. Caste/community certificate (if applicable).

For admissions in PG courses, the candidates have to clear NEET PG. The cutoff marks for the general category is 50%, for SC/ST/OBC is 40%, and for a person with a disability is 45%. The candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized medical institute in Karnataka. Candidates who have completed the MBBS degree from an institute outside Karnataka but have studied in the state for 10 years, including class X or XII, can also apply for counseling. Candidates must have completed compulsory rotatory internship latest by 31st March 2021.

The counseling will have 2 rounds. The mop-up round will be conducted if any seats are left vacant after round 2.
