NEET PG: MCC Opens Portal for Round 3 Seat Contribution by Medical Colleges, Details

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the intraMCC portal for the contribution of seats for Round 3 of PG counselling 2024 for all the institutes participating in postgraduate (PG) admissions such as AIQ, Deemed, Central Universities and Central Institutes.

This has been informed through an official notice stating that all participating PG Institutes (AIQ/ Deemed/ Central Universities/ Central Institutes) that the intramcc portal for contribution of seats for Round-3 of PG Counselling 2024 is now open.

Through the portal, colleges and institutes where the NMC has increased seats after the completion of Round 2 of PG counselling 2024 can contribute the additional seats and new seats, the notice said. With this, the participating Institutes can contribute their seats up to 05:00 P.M of 24 December 2024 after which the intramcc portal will be closed

Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the colleges should not contribute the seats remaining vacant after Round 2 due to ‘Non-Reporting’/ ‘Cancellation’/ ‘Resignation’ or those which have already been contributed in earlier rounds as such seats are already in the system. Contributing such vacant seats again will lead to duplication of seats in the matrix, the notice added.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allows seats online based on the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility and the preference list submitted by the candidate. Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility to hold on-line Counselling for 15% AIQ seats for UG courses, 50% AIQ seats for PG courses & 100% seats in Super-specialty courses (DM/Mch), as per various Gazette notification of NMC, various Court orders & notifications of MoHFW.
