NEET SS Counselling 2023: MCC allows INI SS allotted candidates to resign without forfeiture, Details

Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has decided to allow resignation without forfeiture for seats allotted to candidates in Round 1 of NEET SS Counselling 2023

As per the MCC notice, INI-allotted candidates who want to resign their Round-1 seat allotted through MCC should send their INI-SS allotment letter along with the following undertaking to MCC on email id: colleges.superspeciality@gmail.com up to 11:00 A.M of 29.11.2023. Candidates who send emails along with required documents will only be allowed to resign up to 05:00 P.M of 30.11.2023. However, they will not be eligible to participate in further rounds of SS Counselling 2023 being conducted by MCC. The resignation facility will be provided from 02:00 PM of 29.11.2023 up to 05:00 PM of 30.11.2023.

MCC is in receipt of resignation requests from candidates who have been allotted seats through 1st Round seat allocation of the INI-SS Entrance Examination conducted by AIIMS for admission in DM/ MCh/ MD(HA) courses for INIs namely AIIMS New Delhi & other participating AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS and SCTIMST. Meanwhile, some of the candidates have also been allotted seats through Round 1 of SS Counselling 2023 conducted by MCC, the notice stated.

As per the counselling scheme, resignation is not allowed from Round 1 onwards in SS Counselling; however, in the larger interest of candidates, the competent authority has decided to allow resignation without forfeiture for seats allotted to such candidates in Round 1 of SS Counselling 2023 conducted by MCC.

Further, the candidates who are allotted INIs and wish to resign their seats may approach their allotted college to resign and collect their original documents within the stipulated time. It should be ensured by the candidates that the resignation letter is generated ‘Online’ from the MCC portal by the college authorities. Any offline resignation taken by the college will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.

Undertaking for the resignation of round-1 seat of SS counselling 2023 –

“I hereby declare that I have been allotted seat in INI-SS Entrance Examination conducted by AIIMS for admission in D.M/ M.Ch/ MD(HA) courses for INIs namely AIIMS New Delhi & other participating AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS and SCTIMST. I wish to resign from the seat allotted to me in Round-1 of SS Counselling 2023 being conducted by MCC.

However, I am aware that once I resign the Round-1 seat without forfeiture of security deposit, I will neither have any claim on my resigned seat allotted to me through MCC nor will I be eligible to participate in further rounds of SS counselling 2023 conducted by MCC.”
