New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has published the list of candidates who have been permitted to resign from their Round 1 seats allotted through All India Super Speciality Counselling 2025 after securing admission through the Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI SS) counselling.

The list was released following scrutiny of resignation requests and supporting documents submitted by eligible candidates.

According to the notice issued by the MCC in this regard, the MCC examined the documents received from INI-allotted candidates who had sought permission to resign from their Round 1 SS-2025 seats allotted through MCC. Following verification, 18 candidates have been allowed to proceed with the resignation process.

MCC has advised the approved candidates to approach their allotted colleges to complete the resignation process and collect their original documents within the timeline specified in the earlier notice.

The committee has reiterated that the resignation letter must be generated online through the MCC portal by the respective college authorities. Any resignation accepted through offline mode will be considered "Null & Void" and will not be recognised.

The latest notice follows MCC's earlier decision to provide a one-time resignation facility for candidates who secured seats in both MCC SS Counselling 2025 and INI-SS Counselling, enabling them to opt for admission at Institutes of National Importance while vacating their MCC-allotted seats in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

Medical Dialogues had recently reported that MCC under the DGHS provided a facility for resignation to candidates who had secured a seat in an INI and had also joined the seat allotted through the MCC in Round 1 of the All India Super Speciality (NEET SS) counselling for the academic year 2025.

This step followed the MCC's receipt of multiple resignation requests from SS 2025 candidates who had been allotted INI seats.
