NEET SS Counselling Special round: MCC to announce new provisional results as medical colleges take offline admissions
New Delhi- Some super-speciality colleges are said to have taken admissions offline and have also not notified the candidates through the portal provided by the Medical Council Committee (MCC), even after repeated notices by the MCC. In response, MCC has issued a notice informing that a new provisional result for NEET SS counselling special round will be announced, and hence MCC has urged the candidates to wait for it.
With this, the recently published provisional results on the MCC's website have been withdrawn.
As per the notice, due to offline admission, the seats have come into the matrix of the Special Round for allotment even though they are still occupied by the candidates.
On this, MCC directed those colleges, particularly DNB institutes, to submit an email to MCC after which MCC said it will not entertain any further requests. Once the email is sent to MCC, the seat matrix thereafter will be treated as Final for allotment and any legal complication arising out of this matter will be dealt by the concerned college.
Lastly, MCC has also informed that by the evening of 09 February 2024, a new provisional result will be declared and hence candidates are requested to wait for the final result before proceeding for reporting.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges.
