NMC approval to Father Colombo Institute of Medical Sciences, KNRUHS extends round 2 web options
Telangana- Through a notification, the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has announced an extension of the web-options schedule for the second phase of MBBS counselling under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2025-26.
According to the notification, the university has informed that the last date for exercising web-options has been extended till September 29, 2025. The extension was necessitated following the conditional renewal of 150 MBBS seats at the Father Colombo Institute of Medical Sciences, Warangal, granted by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on September 25, 2025.
Therefore, KNRUHS has asked all eligible candidates, including those who have already submitted their preferences in the ongoing second phase, to revise or exercise their web-options afresh if they wish to. Meanwhile, the updated seat matrix for the Father Colombo Institute has been uploaded on the official university website.
With this extension, aspirants now have an additional opportunity to secure MBBS admission under the Competent Authority Quota in the state.

Meanwhile, KNRUHS Telangana has published the seat matrix for MBBS admissions at the Father Colombo Institute of Medical Sciences, Warangal under the Competent Authority Quota for the second phase of counselling for AY 2025–26.
The detailed matrix shows seat availability across multiple reservation categories, including OC, SC, ST, BC (A to E), Persons with Disability (PWD), CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), and PMC (Persons with Mental Challenges).
As per the updated seat matrix for the Father Colombo Institute, a total of 80 MBBS seats are available for allotment. Below is the detailed seat matrix-
SEAT MATRIX
1 Open Category (OC): 31 seats (21 under L/UR, 10 under OCG).
2 Scheduled Castes (SC): Around 12 seats across SC-G1, G2, and G3 (male & female).
3 Scheduled Tribes (ST): 8 seats (5 male, 3 female).
4 Backward Classes (BC): 25+ seats across BC-A, B, C, D, E (both male & female subcategories).
5 PWD (Persons with Disability): 2 seats.6 CAP (Children of Armed Forces Personnel): 1 seat.7 PMC (Persons with Mental Challenges): 0 seats.
