NTRUHS invites web options for stray vacancy round PG medical admissions 2025 under management quota
Vijayawada: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has released the official notification for Stray Vacancy Round web options under Management Quota seats for PG Medical admissions for the academic year 2025-26.
The notification, issued on February 23, 2026, invited eligible candidates to participate in the stray round for vacant seats remaining after completion of Phase-III (Mop Up) counselling in private unaided minority and non-minority medical colleges, as well as new government medical colleges affiliated to the University.
Candidates must pay a refundable security deposit of ₹3,00,000 and exercise web options online through the university portal from 8:00 PM on February 23, 2026, to 3:00 PM on February 25, 2026.
The university has made it clear that the security deposit is aimed at preventing seat blocking. Candidates who are allotted seats in the stray round but fail to join will forfeit the deposit and will also be debarred from participating in Andhra Pradesh PG medical counselling for the next academic year under both Competent Authority and Management Quotas.
However, the deposit will be refunded to candidates who either join the allotted seat or are not allotted any seat after closure of admissions.
Only candidates whose names appear in the final merit position notified on the university website on February 23, 2026, are eligible to exercise web options.
Candidates who are not holding any PG seat in earlier rounds (AIQ/State/Deemed) or who were allotted but did not join in earlier phases are eligible. However, candidates currently holding seats in State or All India Quota rounds, including Mop Up and stray rounds, are not eligible to participate.
Participants must submit an online undertaking confirming that they are not holding any seat and that they will compulsorily join if allotted a seat in the stray round.
