Odisha: Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) informed about the extension of the last date of withdrawal and freeze/float option in counselling for MBBS/BDS courses.

As per the notice, the last withdrawal date for the candidates allotted/reported in the 1st Round, which was earlier fixed as 4.11.2022, 11.55 pm, has been extended up to 12.11.2022, 5.00 pm. This decision is taken because OJEE has received lots of requests from the candidates.

The option of freeze or float for all such candidates shall remain open and active till 12.11.2022 at 5.00 pm. Candidates can change their options, if they wish, using their credentials. It is mandatory for the allotted candidate should exercise the option for Freeze or Float using a login id.

The candidates were asked to report for admission on November 1 2022, November 2 2022, November 3 2022, and November 4 2022. The college-wise schedule was issued. The candidates were asked to come alone or with only one of their guardians to the OJEE Office on the scheduled date and time to complete the formalities of provisional admission.

Eligibility criteria –

1. Candidates must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2022.

2. Candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha.

3. Candidates must have passed their class 12 or its equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the compulsory subject.

4. Candidates in the general category must have scored at least 50% of aggregate marks. At the same time, SC/ST students should obtain an aggregate of 40%, which is 45% for PH students.

Consequent upon the provisions of the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act,2007, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee was formed on the recommendation of the Policy Planning Body with due approval by the Government (Skill Development and Technical Education Department ) to hold Common Entrance Examinations and conduct counselling process for admission to various Undergraduate / Postgraduate Level Professional Courses in the State of Odisha.

The endeavour of the OJEE Committee has always been directed towards conducting Entrance Examinations and providing a fair, transparent and single-window admission process for various professional Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses in the State, adopting effective state-of-the-art technology.
