PGIMER declares date for PhD Counselling January 2025 Session, details
Chandigarh- The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has released a notice for candidates regarding PhD counselling for the January 2025 session.
Through the notice, PGI has announced the date of PhD counselling for the January 2025 session. As per the notice, the counselling for admission to PhD course for the January 2025 session is scheduled to be held on 30 December 2024 at 3:00 PM in the APC Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Therefore, the list of provisional qualified candidates on the basis of merit in the entrance exam will be displayed on the PGI website shortly.
The online application registration for admission to PhD Programme 2024 was started in November and the last date to fill the form and make payment of online application is 22 November 2024. After the completion of the registration process, the online exam Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to be held on 05 December 2024 and the result will be declared on 16 December 2024. After this, the counselling is likely to be held on 27 November 2024.
JOINING TIME
Selected candidates must join their respective courses on the prescribed date, as indicated in their admission letters. The selection of those who fail to join by the specified date shall automatically stand cancelled. Under exceptional circumstances, a candidate may be allowed to join late by one month i.e. up to 31st July for the July session and 31st January for the January session every year. The admission for the January session closes on 31st January and for the July Session on 31st July each year.
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research is a public medical university in Chandigarh and was conceived in 1960 as a centre of excellence. It has educational, medical research, and training facilities for its students, including all specialities, super specialities, and sub-specialities. Apart from the clinical services, PGI also provides training in almost all disciplines of Medicine, including postgraduate and post-doctoral degrees, diplomas, and fellowships. Admission to post-doctoral and postgraduate courses conducted at PGIMER is made twice a year. The sessions commence in January and July. Admission to the courses is made on merit on an all-India basis.
