PGIMER To Conduct Round 3 Of Counselling Process For INI CET January 2023 Session

Chandigarh: The 3rd counseling/seat allotment to the sponsored candidates for admission to MD/MS course for January 2023 session is to be held on 15th February 2023 at 2.30 pm. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) has announced this through a written notice.

As per the notice, the venue will be Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Candidates must be seated in the auditorium at 2:15 pm on 15th February 2023.

The candidates who qualified for the INI-CET (January-2023) conducted by AIIMS New Delhi are eligible. All the qualified and eligible candidates are required to produce NOC and sponsored certificates from their respective employers before counseling, failing which they will not be considered for counseling and admission.

17 seats are allotted for this round. Biochemistry has 2 seats, Community Medicine has 3 seats, Forensic Medicine has 1 seat, Microbiology has 4 seats, Pathology has 1 seat, Pharmacology has 4 seats, Psychiatry has 1 seat, and Transfusion Medicine has 1 seat allotted. PGIMER has further stated that these seats are tentative and are subject to change.


INI-CET is administered by the Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi, in consultation with nodal officers from all INIs. AIIMS, New Delhi, is the sole authority for the conduct of all aspects related to the Combined Entrance Test, such as application, the conduct of exam, declaration of results, and Seat Allocation, as its responsibility is limited to these aspects of INI-CET only.

Admission/Seat allocation into any of the participating INIs is governed by the rules and regulations of the respective institute as applicable and being administered by the Head of Institutions of respective INIs. All disputes about any matter referred to herein shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research is a public medical university in Chandigarh and was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence. It has educational, medical research, and training facilities for its students, including all specialties, super specialties, and sub-specialties. Apart from clinical services, PGI also provides training in almost all disciplines of Medicine, including postgraduate and post-doctoral degrees, diplomas, and fellowships. Admission to post-doctoral and postgraduate courses conducted at PGIMER is made twice a year. The sessions commence in January and July. Admission to the courses is made on merit on an all-India basis.
