PGIMER to hold Counselling for PhD Admissions July 2023 Session On 26th June, check out details
Chandigarh: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has announced the counseling schedule for admission to PhD course for July 2023 session.
As per the notice, the counselling will be held on 26.06.2023 at 11:00 AM in the APC Auditorium, PGIMER. A list of provisional qualified candidates based on merit in the entrance exam will be displayed on the PGI website shortly.
The Medical Dialogues team earlier reported that PGIMER had released the scorecard for PhD course entrance exam held on 03.06.2023 for PGIMER, Chandigarh, and AIIMS Bathinda July 2023 session.
Candidates scoring the below-mentioned minimum marks in the aptitude test and specialty-specific theory test (combined) will be eligible to appear in counseling for enrollment to PhD program –
1. General/OBC/Spon/FN category - 40 marks
2. SC/ST category - 36 marks
Admission to PhD courses offered at the Institute is done twice a year. The session commences on the first of January and the first of July each year. The admission n to the PhD courses imparted at the Institute is made on an India Merit basis by holding an entrance examination by the Institute after issuing a countrywide admission notice. The admission n notice is published in leading English & Hindi newspapers of India, usually during September/October and March/April for January and July Sessions, respectively.
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research is a public medical university in Chandigarh and was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence. It has educational, medical research, and training facilities for its students, including all specialties, super specialties, and sub-specialties. Apart from clinical services, PGI also provides training in almost all disciplines of Medicine, including postgraduate and post-doctoral degrees, diplomas, and fellowships. Admission to post-doctoral and postgraduate courses conducted at PGIMER is made twice a year. The sessions commence in January and July. Admission to the courses is made on merit on an all-India basis.
