Tamil Nadu: The provisional allotted list for NEET PG has been declared. The Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu) published the list on the official website. Three separate lists have been published, one for NRI, management, and government quota.

Eligibility criteria –

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Candidate who has completed MBBS from an institution in the state and is a bona fide resident of Tamil Nadu.

3. Candidate who has completed MBBS from any institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

4. It is mandatory to complete a compulsory Rotatory Residential internship on or before 31st March 2022.

5. The candidate should be registered with the state Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

6. The candidate has to be NEET PG qualified.

Per the previous notifications, the candidates who have been allotted seat needs to do on or before 2nd November 2022, 5:00 pm. Therefore, candidates who wished to retain their seats in the first round of counselling were not allowed to participate in round 2. However, the candidates who have been allotted but have not joined in All India Quota Round II and who did not participate/have not joined in round 1 counselling were allowed to participate.

The candidates who joined All India Quota Round II counselling are not allowed to vacate seats. Similarly, the candidates who joined Round II of State counselling will not be permitted to vacate/resign/surrender their seats. In addition, those who have been admitted in round 2 of allotment or carry the seat allotted in the first round beyond notified date, which is not upgraded in the second round, will not be permitted to vacate the seat.

Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form when reporting to the concerned College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission and responsible for criminal action if suppression of facts and misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

The Department of Medical Education plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centres with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Research is another area of activity for the Medical Education Department.
