Tamil Nadu to Begin MBBS, BDS Admission Process from Tomorrow
Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu Health Minister M Subramanian has announced that application forms for admission to state quota seats in MBBS and BDS programmes will be available from tomorrow, i.e. June 6.
On this, the Health Minister held discussions with the heads of private and government medical and dental colleges in Tamil Nadu. In the meeting, he informed that the admission process will start early so that the applications can be checked carefully. In previous years, the government had waited till the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) was announced and, as a result, did not get much time to check the applications, resulting in errors.
At the same time, Mr Subramanian has also directed private medical and dental colleges to be transparent about their fee structure, detailing various components such as tuition and hostel fees and other amounts collected, reports The Hindu
In this regard, a month back, Medical Dialogues reported that Ma Subramanian stated that private medical colleges should not charge any fee while providing an internship to students. He warned that legal action will be taken through the Fee Fixation Committee (FFC) if any college is found violating this rule.
