TN DNB Broad Speciality Post Diploma In-Service Admissions to end soon, Check all details

Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu (TN Health) is inviting applications for admission into DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) for in-service candidates for the 2025-26 session. In this regard, TN Health has released a prospectus detailing the important details such as schedule, application fees, eligibility criteria, procedure for filling & submission of application, counselling procedure, etc.

As per the prospectus, the online application is going to end on 30 June 2025, up to 11:00 AM. However, the tentative dates of declaration of Rank, counselling, Commencement of courses and Closure of admission will be notified later.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Candidates seeking admission to DNB Broad Specialty (Post Diploma) will have to qualify for the DNB PD-CET conducted by the National Board of Examination. The eligibility criteria prescribed by the Director General of Health Services, Government of India, New Delhi / NBEMS, in accordance with Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations notified by Board of Governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India with prior approval of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi, shall be taken into account for admission to DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) for the academic year 2025-2026. The candidates must have Qualified the post Graduate Diploma Qualification in the eligible feeder speciality on or before 31.01.2025.

2 Candidates should be Citizens of India and should have undergone MBBS course including the entire Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) period in the State of Tamil Nadu.

3 Candidates who are claiming Nativity of Tamil Nadu and have completed MBBS in other States should upload their Certificates of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority from the Revenue Department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal.

4 Candidates who are pursuing their Diploma courses (including All India Quota) are eligible to apply for DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) Courses in the same academic year of 2025-2026, if he/she completes the course before 31.01.2025.

5 Candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the Provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of the Counselling / admission.

6 Candidates should possess MBBS Degree awarded by The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India and the candidates who have qualified from other University should produce eligibility certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai at the time of admission / Counselling.

7 Candidates are advised against dual nativity and if found anytime during admission or course of study, their allotment will be cancelled and appropriate legal action would be initiated by competent authorities. Candidates who are claiming community reservation of Tamil Nadu should upload both the following certificates-

i Community certificate issued by competent authority from Revenue Department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal.

ii Community certificate of either one of the parents issued by competent authority from Revenue Department of Tamil Nadu with official seal.

8 Candidates are instructed to upload the following documents in addition to above-

i Copy of Aadhaar Card.

ii Copy of Driving Licence or Voter’s ID or Passport, as supportive document.

NON-ELIGIBILITY

1 Candidates who join a DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) 2025-2026 session in any Branch and discontinue the course on any Rounds on or after the Round 2 as per the guidelines of National Board of Examinations are not eligible to apply for subsequent academic year for any DNB Broad Specialty Post Diploma Courses as per NBE norms. Further the candidate shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation Fee.

Candidates who are already pursuing MD / MS / DNB / Diploma / Degrees are not eligible to apply. Candidates who have Qualified post graduate Diploma Medical Qualification after 31.01.2025 are ineligible to participate in the counselling.

2 The candidates who take allotments for DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) 2025-2026 session in any branch in the Mop-Up Round of counselling must join the course, if not, they are not eligible to apply for subsequent academic year for any DNB Broad Specialty Post Diploma session.

The candidate shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee.

3 Candidates who have already completed a Post graduate Degree / DNB / Equivalent Courses are not eligible to apply for admission to any other DNB Broad Speciality (Post Diploma) 2025-2026 session.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING & SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

Online portal for applying for admission to PG courses will be available between 12.00 Noon on 27.06.2025 and upto 11.00 A.M. on 30.06.2025 as per server time. The candidate should log on to the official website of TN Health for registration. Candidates should fill up all mandatory column, upload all required documents and complete online application. The candidates may download a printed version of application for their future reference.

APPLICATION, REGISTRATION FEE AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

1 At the time of Application, all candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 3,000/- (Non- Non-refundable). However, Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of online application.

2 At the time of registration for counselling, all candidates must pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1000/-.

Meanwhile, the security deposit for the Government Institutions and Hospitals is Rs 30,000/-. However, security Deposit will be refunded to candidates, within three months after end of entire counselling process. No interest amount for Security Deposit will be paid to the candidates.

DOCUMENTS

Candidates must upload the following Self-attested photocopies of certificates / documents-

1 DNB PD-CET 2025 admit card and DNB PD-CET 2025 score card.

2 MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate.

3 CRMI Completion Certificate.

4 Permanent or Provisional Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.

5 Community Certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Tamil Nadu indicating the community status of candidates belonging to Backward Community / Backward Community (Muslim) / Most Backward Community / Denotified Communities / Schedule Caste / Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar).

6 TNPSC / MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order (For Service Candidates).

7 Nativity Certificate by competent authority.

8 Candidates applying under Persons with Disability (PwD) category should obtain recent medical certificate from regional medical board and upload clear copy of the Persons with Disability (PwD) certificate.

9 To upload eligibility certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-32. (Only for the candidates who have qualified from other Universities).

10 Candidates are instructed to produce all original Certificates / Documents for certificate verification at their allotted Institution.

11 Same photo that has been uploaded for DNB PD-CET 2025, must be uploaded during online application (l) Post Card size colour photograph (4”x6”) (size: 50kb to 300kb) to be uploaded.

12 Clearly visible copy of Aadhaar Card to be uploaded; Copy of Passport or Voter’s ID or Driving license to be uploaded, as supportive document.

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE

Rounds of Counselling as per NBEMS guidelines and as per Notification issued by State Selection Committee and candidates should abide by the rules submitted in the notification.

Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the Medical College concerned that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission. If suppression of facts or mis-interpretation / Fake Documents submitted if found at any time during or after the admission to the course, the candidature will be cancelled and if allotted the allotment will be cancelled.
