TN Health Begins NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round III Counselling 2024
Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu (TN Health) has begun the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Special Stray Vacancy Round III Counselling 2024 The NEET UG special Stray Vacancy Round III Counselling 2024 is to be conducted for admission to the MBBS Degree Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical / Dental Colleges, Government & Management Quota (Including NRI Lapsed) seats in Self Financing Medical / Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-25. The counselling will be done for two seats
As per the schedule, the NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round III Counselling 2024 started yesterday, i.e., 23rd December 2024, and will conclude on 30th December 2024. The detailed schedule is as follows:

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:
❖ The Candidates who are not holding any MBBS/BDS seats in All India Quota and State Quota are only eligible to participate in this online counselling.
NOT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
❖ The candidates who have already joined any MBBS/BDS seats in All India Quota and State Quota (Either Govt. Quota/Management Quota/NRI Quota/NRI Lapsed Quota) are not eligible to participate in this round of counselling.
❖ The candidates who did not join their seats allotted through Tamil Nadu State Counselling Round-3/Stray/Special Stray/Special Stray Round II are “Not Eligible” to participate in this counselling.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
❖ The candidates should pay an additional Security Deposit amount Rs.5 Lakhs (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) for MBBS Course for participating in this Special Stray Round III via online Bank payment portal, which is not refundable, in case the candidate after allotment does not join the course.
❖ Candidates who have not previously registered and participating the online choice filling for MBBS Degree Courses will have to remit a nonrefundable Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.
❖ The candidates who have participated and paid their Registration Fee & Security Deposit, but not allotted any MBBS/BDS seats in previous rounds (i.e., R1/ R2/ MOP_UP/Stray/Special Stray/Special Stray II) need not pay again.
❖ Allotted candidates during this Special Stray vacancy Round III, if they fail to join or discontinue the course, they will have to forfeit the Security Deposit and Tuition Fee in addition to payment of Discontinuation Fee. They also will not be able to participate in TN UG Medical Counselling for subsequent one academic year.
❖ All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
❖ Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
❖ Choice Filling: Candidates will have the option of choice filling for the categories for which they have applied. For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and management quota he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyse the choices available and fill their choices in order of their preference.
❖ Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit.
❖ If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (24/12/2024 12 Noon) their choices will be automatically locked.
❖ Seat Matrix for the Course will be available on the official website.
❖ Selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity error and Procedural error.
❖ Admission to MBBS Degrees courses shall be made by the ONLINE COUNSELLING on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALLOTTED CANDIDATES:
❖ If a candidate is allotted in this Special Stray Vacancy round III, he/she will have to join the allotted college.
❖ The allotted candidates for MBBS seats in all colleges have to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
❖ Considering the absence of Re-allotment and time-constraints in Stray Round, downloading of allotment order by the candidate itself is considered as joining as per the prospectus and the candidate has to report to the institution within the reporting time.
❖ Failure to report will be considered as discontinuation and the candidate should pay the Discontinuation fee as per Clause 23 of Government Quota Prospectus/ Clause 20 of Management Quota Prospectus if he/she fails to report before the stipulated time.
❖ The Selected candidates (MBBS seats) belonging to SC/SCA/ST/ SCC who have been allotted seat in Govt. Quota and Management Quota in self-financing Medical colleges are exempted from paying tuition fee for downloading the allotment order if annual income of Parents/ Guardian is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
❖ Fee structure is available in the official website
❖ All candidates should make sure, sufficient fund is available at their bank account with expanded credit/Transaction limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
❖ The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE:
❖ The Certificate Verification will be done in the selected colleges itself.
❖ The candidates should produce their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification.
❖ If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and / or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
❖ The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts, misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
❖ Candidates are advised to be in touch with our official website for Schedule / latest updates / Results / Notices / News & Events pertaining to counselling as Selection Committee will not be individually contacting the candidates for the same.
❖ No communication will be directly sent to the Candidates. They are advised to be in touch with the website on regular basis for any updates.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES: -
All the eligible applied candidates to Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee who do not hold any seats are hereby informed that as per the Medical Counselling Committee schedule notification dated 21.12.2024 and the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in W.Ps (Civil) No. 833,832, 835, 824 & 853 of 2024 dated 20.12.2024 a Special Stray Vacancy Round III counselling has been notified from 23rd December to 30th December 2024.
The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has completed 6 rounds of online counselling based on the DGHS Schedule and Supreme Court of India Guidelines. At the end of the counselling 2 MBBS seats remain vacant in Tamil Nadu. (Arising because allotted candidates failing to join the college/course)
Based on the MCC guidelines and the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has decided to conduct Special Stray Vacancy Round III with the following eligibility conditions: -
NOT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
Candidates who are holding any UG Medical/Dental seat in TamilNadu or AIQ are not eligible for this round of counselling
As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the above-mentioned order“……. We, however, clarify that the stray/special admission process should not disturb the admissions which are already finalized …….”
ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
Candidates who do not hold any seat only are eligible to register for this round (they should have applied to Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and be present in the merit list).
Candidates are instructed to think carefully before filling their choices, because this is the final phase of counselling and not joining the allotted seats will result in seats not being filled up. Hence, candidates are requested to fill choices only if they wish to join the course / college in the event of being allotted. If the candidates fail to join in the allotted course they will have to forfeit the Security Deposit and Tuition fee already paid and also will have to pay Discontinuation fee.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The candidates and parents need to understand that these seats are precious in nature. Hence, if allotted a seat during this Special Stray Vacancy Round III, kindly join the allotted seat. If, due to any reason the allotted candidate does not join the allotted seat, his/her refundable security deposit will be forfeited and discontinuation fee will be applied along with debarment from Tamil Nadu UG Medical Counselling 2025 and any action including legal may be taken by the Competent Authority.
