Tamil Nadu- The Tamil Nadu, Directorate of Medical Education & Research has released the Tentative Special Stray Vacancy Round counselling schedule and seat matrix for the PG Degree/Diploma Courses In Tamilnadu Government Medical Colleges, Government Quota Seats In Self-Financing Medical Colleges And 20% Seats Of Christian Medical College, Vellore 2024-2025 Session.
All the concerned candidates are advised to check out the details as mentioned below:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
All candidates should read the prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
Candidates who are participating in this counseling should abide by the rules of this round of counselling.
InEligible Candidates for special stray round of counselling:
> The candidate who joined the PG MD/MS/DIPLOMA/DNB course through State Quota counselling of Round-1, Round-2, Round-3 (Mop-up) & Stray round
> The candidate who was allotted a seat through State Quota Counselling of Round-3 (Mop-up) & Stray round.
> The candidate who joined the course through All India counselling of Round-1, Round -2 & Round-3 (Mop-up) & Stray round.
> The candidate who was allotted a seat through All India counseling of Special Stray Vacancy Round.
> The candidates who discontinued the course with penalty is not eligible for Special stray round.
Eligible candidate to participate in this counseling:
All the candidates who does not satisfy the above criteria’s under ineligible candidates are eligible for special stray round counselling.
Candidates who are participating in the online choice filling for PG Degree/Diploma Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota.
At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid need not pay again) for Government Quota:
For Government Medical Colleges – Rs. 30,000/-
For Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical College – Rs. 1,00, 000/-
All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
As per prospectus clause 34(e), if there are no eligible Service candidates opting for PG Degree / Diploma courses, the same will be allotted to eligible open category candidates.
As per prospectus clause 34(h), any remaining unfilled seats for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to SCA community shall be filled by candidates belonging to SC community as per merit vice versa (G.O. (Ms) No. 55, P & A R Dept. Dated 08.04.2010). Hence SC candidates can register and choice lock for remaining unfilled SCA seats also.
As per prospectus clause 34(i), any remaining reserved seats in ST quota for want of adequate number of eligible candidates belonging to ST community shall be filled by candidates belonging to SC community as per merit (G.O.(Ms) No.77, H & FW Department, dated 24.02.2011. Hence SC candidates can register and choice lock for remaining unfilled ST seats also.
As per prospectus clause 34(j), any remaining unfilled seats in BCM community for want of adequate number of eligible candidates after exhausting the merit list shall be filled up on merit basis by candidates belonging to BC community without exceeding the quota for BC community as a whole (G.O. (Ms) No.30, H & FW Dept. dated 18.01.2012). Hence BC candidates can register and choice lock for remaining unfilled BCM seats also.
The candidates if allotted a seat in Special Stray round in Govt. Colleges / Govt. Quota seats in Self Financing Colleges, will be blocked for allotment of Self Financing Colleges under Management Quota and DNB Broad Speciality Courses. Hence candidates should exercise due diligence in choice filling/ choice locking
Choice Filling: Candidates will have the option of choice filling for all the seats for which they have applied to.
Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit. Hence candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.
If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (15-03-2025 03.00 PM) their choices will be automatically locked.
Vacancy position for the Courses will be available on the official websites.
Selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity error and Procedural error.

Admission to PG Degree/ Diploma courses shall be made by the ONLINE COUNSELLING on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
Request for change of course or College, from one to another is not permitted after final locking.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER:
The freshly allotted candidates have to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking.

All candidates should make sure, sufficient fund is available at their bank account with expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE:
The candidates should produce their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification.
If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and / or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts, mis-interpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
Candidates are advised to be in touch with our official websites for Schedule / latest updates / Results / Notices / News & Events pertaining to counselling as Selection Committee will not be individually contacting the candidates for the same.
