UP DGME Announces Extension Of Date for Registration, Payment Of Security Money For Round 2 NEET counselling
Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) announced an extension of the registration date and payment of security money for round 2 of NEET UG.
Per the notice, the candidates can carry out the registration until 16th November 2022. They can pay the security money till 15th November 2022. Previously the last day to register was 14th November 2022, and to pay the security money was 15th November. One more day of extension has been given in both cases. These extensions have been done because of a notification issued by MCC on 11th November 2022 declaring the timeline.
The following security money is to be paid online –
1. Government – Rs 30000 (Medical, Dental)
2. Private – Rs 200000 (Medical) Rs 100000 (Dental)
Round 1 candidates need not do new registration for this round. The candidates who couldn't register for round 1 can now do round 2 by paying Rs 2000 as a registration fee.
The candidates whose document verification has been done need not upload the documents again. But those candidates whose verification is not done will have to upload the documents and get them verified. The candidates who did registration for round 1 but couldn't pay the security money can now deposit security money and take part in the counseling process.
The candidates who had been allotted seats in round 1 but did not join or resigned from the assigned seat after joining can pay the security money and take part in the counseling process.
The PwD candidates will have to produce the certificate issued by the center allotted by the Government of India. In addition, reservation-related documents have to issue in the format prescribed by UP Government.
The candidates are allotted seats in government colleges. The admission process will be done in the allotted college. The candidates allocated seats in private colleges will do in the nodal centers.

The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
