UP DGME clarifies on MBBS fee for School of Medical Sciences and Research Greater Noida, details

Uttar Pradesh- The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UP DGME), has informed regarding the excess fees for candidates taking admission in the MBBS course in the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, through UP NEET UG 2025 counselling.
Issuing a public notice in this regard, the UP DGME mentioned that the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida has issued a notice dated 07.08.2025 on its website, informing that the college will charge the fee from the candidates taking admission in MBBS course in the academic session 2025-26, considering the institution as minority (Jain community), by fixing the fee at its level-

By the letter dated 29.07.2025 of Dean, School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida and letter dated 07.08.2025 of Registrar, Sharda University, Greater Noida, considering the institution as minority (Jain community), revising the fee prescribed by the government for MBBS course under the academic session 2025-26, the said revised fee was requested to be published on the portal of the Directorate General and 50 percent of the seats of MBBS course were reserved for minority category (Jain community). In the meantime, as the institution has not applied for being declared a minority institution in compliance with the provisions contained in the Government Order dated 28.08.1999, their request has been rejected vide this office letter No. ME-3/2025/1841 dated 10.08.2025 and the same has been conveyed to the Manager / Principal, School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, the notice stated
By Government Order No. 1/1036663/2025 dated 24.07.2025, the fee for MBBS / MD / MS courses for non-minority medical colleges operating under the private sector for the academic session 2025-26 has been fixed, in which the tuition fee for MBBS course of School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida has been fixed at Rs 15,23,183.
The School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, by the aforesaid notice dated 07.08.2025, has displayed information on its website regarding the fees to be charged from the candidates of MBBS course for the academic session 2025-26, considering itself a minority institution (Jain community), which is creating confusion among the students / parents, the UPDGME said
It is noteworthy that in the first round of counseling of UP NEET UG 2025, all 250 seats of MBBS course of School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida have been included in the open category.
Therefore, in view of the above, it is notified to the general public that in view of the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida not being granted minority institution status by the Medical Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh till date, it will be permissible to charge only the fee prescribed by the above-referenced Government Order dated 24/07.2025 from the candidates taking admission in NBBS course for the academic session 2025-26, the notice read
