UP DGME Issues Guidelines for Round 3 MBBS, BDS Counselling

Uttar Pradesh- The Director General of Medical Education (UPDGME) has issued necessary guidelines regarding the 3rd round of online counselling under the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility -Entrance Test (UP NEET UG) MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic year 2024.

The admission process for candidates allotted/reallocated in the 3rd round will take place from October 19 to 23, 2024.

Below are the guidelines for candidates:

The admission process of candidates allotted/re-allocated to Government sector seats will be completed in the allotted Government/Autonomous Medical/Dental College/University/Institute.

The admission process of candidates allotted/reassigned to private sector medical/dental colleges will be completed at the nodal centre.

The name of the college / nodal center for admission will be mentioned on the allotment letter.

The admission process will be completed only after medical examination of all allotted candidates is conducted as per rules by constituting a medical board at college/ nodal centre level.

It is mandatory for the allotted candidates to undergo medical examination by the Medical Board constituted at the Medical College/Nodal Centre level.

Such candidates who have been allotted seats through the first and second round of counselling of NEET UG-2024 and have also completed the admission process, and thereafter, the choice of the previously admitted college/seat has been filled in the third round of counselling and they have again been allotted the same seat in the result declared on 18.10.2024, then it is mandatory for such candidates to appear again at the concerned college/designated nodal centre and complete the admission process. Otherwise, their admission will be automatically cancelled. 

The following documents must be submitted in original at the time of admission

  • UP NEET UG 2024 Allotment Letter
  • High School and Intermediate Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • NEET UG 2024 Admit Card and Score Card
  • Reservation related (category / subcategory) certificate (as required)
  • Domicile Certificate (as required)
  • Identification Proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)

The caste certificate of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Other Backward Class (OBC) of Uttar Pradesh will be valid only if made on or after 01 April 2024.

Reservation certificates will not be valid on the form of certificates submitted for appointment to posts under the Government of India.

The form of certificate to be submitted for appointment to the land posts of Government of India, Param Certificate will not be valid.

All certificates related to reservation (OBC, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Economically Weaker Section) will be valid only if issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh on the format prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Disability Certificate will be valid only if issued from the designated centres and on the prescribed format as per instructions issued by Medical Counselling Committee, Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
