WBMCC issues circular on document verification of allotted NEET candidates, Details
West Bengal : Through a recent circular, the WBMCC has informed regarding original document verification of allotted candidates in WB UG Counselling 2021 Round 2.
Representations have been received regarding Registration and Choice filling in WB UG counseling 2021 in Round 2 by some candidates who may have dubious domicile status or caste status, said the counselling body
It is hereby reiterated that such list of registered and choice filled candidates is purely provisional based on candidate submission and any allotment of seats as per inter se merit of such candidates is also purely provisional. The admission shall only be granted if the candidate passes physical original document verification at the allotted college.
The participating college authorities are hereby made aware that strict verification of original credentials of the allotted candidates is must including the domicile certificate, age proof, class 12 or equivalent exam mark sheet and caste certificate (as applicable) and PwD certificate (as applicable).
For verification of caste certificate, officials from Backward Class Welfare Department Govt of WB are already formally requested to visit the concerned colleges on the dates of document verification. Additionally caste certificate originality may be checked from the website www.castcertificatewb.gov.in for certificates issued in the State of WB.
Any candidate producing caste certificate issued outside WB shall not be considered for admission to caste reserved seat (except for central institute like ESI Joka).
The domicile certificate shall be approved only if authenticated by the appropriate authority in appropriate format as mentioned in the earlier notice dated 01.02.2022 in the counseling website www.wbmcc.nic.in
The PwD certificate shall be issued from the Medical board of IPGMER Kolkata to come under the zone of consideration.
If any candidate is later found to have been admitted through falsification/fabrication/mis information, then the candidature shall be cancelled at once.
