New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has now released the finalized the syllabus for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2025 examination, which was published on the official website yesterday.
While the MBBS aspirants were waiting for the official syllabus to find out the changes and modifications from last year, after the official syllabus was published on the NMC website, they were surprised to find out that there weren't any such changes in the new syllabus for the NEET UG 2025 examination.
Many candidates and experts also noticed that even the mistakes from the NEET UG 2024 syllabus have been repeated in the syllabus for NEET UG 2025- leading to criticism from both students and experts.

No New Topics:
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has not included any new topics or deleted any existing ones from the NEET UG 2025 syllabus.
Mistakes Repeated:
Further, it was noticed that the previous errors in the NEET UG syllabus, which were noticed in 2024, have been repeated in the NEET UG 2025 syllabus as well.
In the previous year, the frog was mistakenly added under the category of insect. Later, the authorities issued clarification that frog was mistakenly added instead of the cockroach.
However, this mistake has not been amended this year as well and the new syllabus also enlists frog as an insect. Unit 2 of the Biology Syllabus mentions "Animal tissues; Morphology, anatomy and functions of different systems (digestive, circulatory, respiratory, nervous and reproductive) of an insect (Frog). (Brief account only)."
Latest NCERT Version Does not Include Important Terms from the Syllabus:
Unit 1 of the Biology Syllabus for NEET UG 2025 includes the topic "Diversity in Living World • What is living?". However, this topic has not been included in the latest NCERT syllabus even though it appears in the older versions, Getmyuni has reported.
Out-of-Syllabus Topics Included in NEET UG 2025 Syllabus:
Topics such as Protein Biosynthesis, Tobacco Abuse, Malvaceae, Cruciferae, Leguminoceae, Compositae, and Graminae, which were previously out of the syllabus, have been added in the latest NEET UG 2025 Syllabus, Getmyuni has reported.
