On April 25, the student locked himself in the room after his two roommates went to college in the morning at around 9.30 am. The student stayed back in his hostel room to end his life. The two roommates witnessed the shocking incident when they returned from the college at around 2 pm. Despite repeated calling, the student did not answer and refused to open the door.
After getting worried, the duo peeped through the ventilator and saw the student's lifeless body hanging from the ceiling fan with a loop made up of a towel. Following this, the hostel warden was immediately informed about the incident. Subsequently, the warden broke open the door and informed the Kolar police.
