Several interns reportedly sustained injuries in the incident, prompting the All FMGs Association (AFA) to demand immediate intervention by the college authorities.
It has been alleged that a group of intoxicated undergraduate medical students at ESIC Medical College Hospital, Alwar, reportedly verbally abused and attacked the Foreign Medical Graduate interns at the medical college and allegedly instigated a riot on the interns' hostel floor.
Due to the attack, several medical graduates from abroad have reportedly sustained grievous injuries, including fractures and head wounds.
The incident took place on the night of last Sunday i.e. October 5, 2025, and the Indian medical students, who were involved in the incident, are studying in the 2nd year of the UG medical course, All FMGs Association (AFA) has informed in an X post.
AFA further claimed in the post that no action has been taken by the Dean's office yet. Demanding immediate action, the association mentioned in the post, "Extremely shameful incident within our own community Last night, FMG interns at ESIC MCH Alwar were violently attacked by a group of intoxicated 2nd year IMGs. The assailants verbally abused FMGs and instigated a riot on the interns’ hostel floor. Several FMGs sustained grievous injuries, including fractures and head wounds. Shockingly, no action has yet been taken by the Dean’s office. According to FMGs present, this is not the first time that undergraduate IMGs have attempted such aggression. We demand that the Dean and concerned authorities take immediate and decisive action against it."
In one of the videos, shared by AFA, several security guards could be seen inside the hostel. The X post by AFA also included blood-soaked photographs of FMGs.
Referring to the incident, another X user, who identifies himself as an MBBS student, wrote, "Last night, FMG interns at ESIC MCH Alwar were violently attacked by a group of intoxicated 2nd year IMGs.The assailants verbally abused FMGs and instigated a riot on the interns’hostel floor. Several FMGs sustained grievous injuries, including fracture and head wounds."
Another X post, while referring to the post, blamed the inbuilt toxicity and pseudo hierarchy between the FMGs and Indian Medical Graduates. "ESIC MCH Alwar incident where undergraduate students violently attacked FMG Interns in the Intern hostel campus is shameful and it is an example of the inbuilt toxicity & pseudo hierarchy between the Med Community Remember how doctors get betean off by the public? Unity !?" mentioned the post.
