Haryana: The Director of Higher Education in Haryana has directed all medical colleges that have not yet registered to get new registration on the portal of AISHE (All India Survey of Higher Education).
As per the notice, the AISHE portal for the survey year 2022-23 was opened on 1st September 2022 by the office of MoE New Delhi. AISHE code is compulsory for all universities/Educational Institutions/colleges as it is required for NAAC Accreditation, Scholarship & AISHE survey. The Head/ principal of colleges/institutions that have not been registered till now is to be registered on the aishe.gov.in portal immediately.
The Department of Higher Education launched the All-India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in the year 2011 under the Central Sector Scheme of Higher Education Statistics and Public Information Systems (HESPIS) to create a robust database of the educational institutions providing higher education in India. The coverage of AISHE includes all tertiary-level educational institutions, including medical education.
The list of institutions registered in the AISHE is used widely by Central Ministries and State Governments for checking the genuineness of student applicants in different schemes. Wide use of this is done in the National Scholarships Portal, where online application and processing of scholarships of different Ministries are made, after which scholarships are sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to the students after proper online verification, de-duplication, etc.
To extend the entitlements to the eligible and deserving students, the inclusion of all the institutions in the AISHE is necessary.
