GGSIPU to Hold 17th Convocation on April 11, check guidelines

New Delhi- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is going to hold the '17th Convocation' on 11 April 2025. In this regard, the university has published the list of students who have been found eligible for gold medals in the upcoming 17th convocation of the university. The list includes B Pharma and MS students to be awarded gold medals.

Moreover, through a notice, the varsity has informed that the rehearsal will be conducted in 'Main Auditorium' of Guru Gobind singh Indraprastha University, Sec-16C, Dwarka, New Delhi on 09th April, 2025 at 10:00 am in the University. Therefore, all the PhD Scholars and UG/PG programme Gold Medalists are instructed to attend the rehearsal, failing which they would not be allowed to attend the 17th Convocation on 11th April 2025 in person. However, the students will attend the rehearsal and occupy their allotted seats strictly as per "Seats allocation" to be intimated at the venue on respective dates.

Apart from this, GGSIP through the notice has also issued the guidelines for the upcoming 17th Convocotion ceremony. Therefore, all the eligible candidates receiving Degree of Doctorate of Philosophy, Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit, in person at the convocation are advised to take note of the following important instructions for necessary information and compliance.

PRIOR INTIMATION

The students, as per list notified on the University Website, who wish their Degrees (in case of Ph.D. Scholars) and Certificate of Merit and Gold Medal (in case of UG/PG programme) to be conferred "in person", are required to submit Consent form for Attending the 17th Convocation which is available as Google form, along with QR Code in this regard, latest by 31st March 2025 (Monday) failing which the Degree/ Certificate of Merit and Gold Medal shall not be conferred "in-person" and they will rather be conferred Degree/ Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit "in absentia".

ADMIT CARD

The Admit Card will be issued on receipt of details of consent on google form. Students without proper 'Admit Card' will not be allowed to attend Rehearsal and Convocation. Therefore, filling up the Google form within stipulated date of 31s March, 2025 is mandatory for collecting Degree/ Certificate "in person".

REPORTING FOR CONVOCATION

Convocation will be held in the 'Auditorium' on 11th April, 2025 (Friday) for which students must report at the respective "allotted Counter" established in the University on 11th April 2025 (Friday) at 09:00 a.m. and get their seat number in the 'Auditorium'.

CONVOCATION ANGVASTRA

All the students will Compulsorily wear Angvastra, which will be available for purchase @Rs. 250/- only per person from the "Angvastra Counters" established in the University on 11th April 2025 at 09:00 a.m.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1 Student should preferably wear formal Indian traditional dress.

2 Only the recipient students accompanied with their parent/ spouse, (only one person) will be allowed entry alongwith the recipient student.

3 Children less than 12 years old are not allowed. brief case, bag, camera, mobile phone, any electronic gadgets, Students are requested not to bring any matchbox, water bottle and eatables inside the University.

4 Students are advised to make their own arrangements for safe custody of their belongings as the University will find it difficult to arrange the same.

5 Due to security reasons in the University Campus, vehicles would not be allowed inside the University Campus.
