JIPMER extends application deadline for Dr JK Dutta Endowment and E Mehalingam Memorial Award

Puducherry- The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has extended the deadline for receiving applications to 15th January 2024 from the students of MD, MS, DM, and MCh for the Dr JK Dutta endowment prize and E Mehalingam Memorial Award, as per a recent circular. Both prizes will be presented to the students during the Research Day Celebration.

In March this year, JIPMER is going to celebrate its 9th Research Day Celebration. During the occasion, students will receive the Dr. JK Dutta Endowment Award for the best thesis in infectious diseases and the E Mehalingam Memorial Award for the best scientific presentation by a PhD student.

According to the circular, it states that “Application from students (MD/MS/DM/MCh), who have passed their exams in December 2022 or June 2023 is invited for the Dr JK Dutta Endowment Prize for the best thesis in infectious diseases and E Mehalingam Memorial Award (best scientific paper presentation by a PhD student. One hard copy of the manuscript along with the soft copy should be submitted to the Dean's research office (email ID: jall25@jipmer.ac.in). A cover letter with the title of the manuscript and the contact details of the applicant (including phone number) may be submitted on or before 15th January 2024. The last date of submission stands extended from 31st December 2023 to 15th January 2024. Late submissions will not be considered. The applicants will be judged based on the manuscript submitted and the oral presentation during the research day”.

This circular has been issued by the Dean of JIPMER, where all the HODs have been requested to circulate it among all the resident doctors of their department.
