JIPMER Extends Date Of Submission Of Thesis For DM, MCh Students, details

Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) announced the extension of the submission date for the thesis without a fine for Super Specialty (DM/MCh) students.

As per the notice, 15 days of extension have been given to the students to submit the thesis. Now the students can submit till 15th August 2022. Previously the last date for submission was 31st July 2022. This extension has been given on request received from the students. The terms and conditions will remain the same as per postgraduate dissertation guidelines 2020.

The following points have to be kept in mind while preparing the dissertation books –

1. Length - approximately 50-60 pages

2. Font - Arial / Times New Roman

3. Size of font - 11/12

4. Spacing - Single/1.5 spaced

5. 30-40 lines/page, 400-450 words/page

6. Executive bond paper

7. Printing - Both sides

8. Margins - Left 1.5"; Right 1" Top 1" ; Bottom 1"

9. Continuous pagination

10. Binding - Spiral binding

The students will have to pay a fee of Rs 3000. The payment must only be made through Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.

Students note that 2 copies of the above documents have to be submitted. After the signature is inked, 1 copy will be returned. 2 hard copies of the dissertation books along with 1 soft copy of the entire dissertation book on a CD should be submitted to the Dean's (Research) office before the deadline. One soft copy complete in all respects should be mailed to pgdissertationjipmer@gmail.com.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas and certified courses.
