JIPMER issues list of documents required by faculty seeking to participate in training, short-term, long term fellowships

Puducherry- Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) faculty members need to provide certain documents who desire to participate in training, short-term or long-term fellowships. This directive comes from the International Conference Assessment Committee, and therefore, has also issued a circular in this regard.

As per the circular, while submitting the application for the program, participants are required to attach 7 documents. Additionally, all participants must be recommended and forwarded through the proper channels, i.e., the Head of the relevant Department, followed by the Medical Superintendent for Clinical Faculty, and the Dean (Academic) for Pre 8th Para Clinical Faculty.

Following are the documents that are required to be submitted by the participants-

1 Form for Permission for Academic Absence/Duty Leave with/without Financial Support (for In-person abroad visits) or Form for Permission/On-Duty Leave for online participation in academic/ official events outside JIPMER (For Online/Virtual International Events).

2 Proforma for prior permission for Private/Official visits abroad.

3 Copies of Passport.

4 Complete the Brochure of the Conference (along with the Regn. fee structure page).

5 Abstract copy, including names of all authors, (if presenting a paper).

6 IEC Clearance Certificate for the research work to be presented.

7 Copy of Abstract Acceptance letter or invitation to deliver a talk/ chair a the session, etc,.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses. JIPMER originated in the year 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government.
