JIPMER to hold Online Seminar- Summit Of Young Biostatisticians, Statisticians, check out details
Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced the conduction of an online seminar cum summit of Young Biostatisticians/Statisticians (StatClave) on 1st July 2023 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) in conjunction with the celebration of National Statistics Day 2023.
The seminar cum summit is organized by the Department of Biostatistics, JIPMER, Puducherry. This conclave aims to provide insight into the various career aspects, introductory sessions to applying core statistical concepts and discourse on the challenges in Biostatistics and Statistics.
Registration is mandatory, and there is no registration fee for the participants. The participants need to register using the link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfhjjIST-XoyIqEKrAr_nHMyFj8FW41EqadyiPtpaQwY6sp6Q/viewform?pli=1 . The last date for registration is 29th June 2023.
Eligibility to attend –
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students/ PhD Scholars and Young Professionals in Statistics/Biostatistics in India.
The following sessions will be conducted –
1. How to Become a Professional Statistician/Biostatistician?
2. Structural Equations Modeling in Biomedical Research
3. Bayesian approach in clinical research
4. Panel discussion - Challenges for Statisticians/Biostatisticians in the era of the hyper-dynamic growth in technology
5. Open Forum for Young Biostatisticians/Statisticians
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school located in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.
JIPMER originated in the year 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India. It was established on its current campus in 1964 and is spread over 1922 acres.
