We also think it is a case of suicide as there was no pressure from the college authorities. We have informed the director of medical education and training."
“When I asked his friends to dial his number, it was switched off. The sniffer dogs found the mobile around 40m away. He might have thrown away the mobile before dying by suicide,” Bhuyan told The Indian Express.
According to his father, he was under mental stress and was upset over failure to get scholarship. Although the authorities of the medical college agreed that the deceased was under extreme pressure but stated that the reason is unknown.
On the other hand, his classmates and the medical college authorities have demanded a thorough probe into the unfortunate death.
