NMC notifies on implementation of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan In All Medical Colleges
New Delhi- To combat the menace of drug abuse, the National Medical Commission (NMC) is going to implement Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign) in all the medical colleges across India. In addition, the NMC has also decided to constitute a drug-free hostel committee in all colleges/institutions.
Implementation of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign) in all medical colleges across India will help in reducing drug abuse through mass awareness, counselling, treatment and care in educational institutions, the official notice in this regard informed.
On this, NMC has requested all the medical colleges/institutions to undertake the following actions-
Part I: Formation of Nasha Mukt Hostel Committees.
Part II: Formation of the annual schedule of Activities under the Abhiyan.
Part III: Awareness programme for students, faculty and other staff of the college.
