The blast came hours after eight people, including three doctors connected to the university, were arrested and 2,900 kilograms of explosives were seized with the uncovering of a "white-collar terror module" involving the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and spanning Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. A doctor, who was among the arrested, was a teacher at the Al-Falah University.
Amid this, the University's medical college fee structure has come into focus. The university charges Rs 74,50,000 for the MBBS course at Al Falah Medical College. Additionally, the students also have to pay hostel charges, electricity bill, laundry charges, a one-time security deposit, etc.
The college has an intake capacity of 200 MBBS seats. As per the MBBS fee structure for the academic year 2025-2026, available on the college's website, the students getting admitted to Al Falah Medical College will have to pay Rs 74.5 lakh course fee for the 5-year MBBS course programme.
For the first four years, the students will have to pay Rs 16,37,500 each year, and the fees for the fifth year of the MBBS course is Rs 9 lakh.

The fees details further specify the following:
- Rupees One Lac towards College Security shall be deposited at the time of admission.
- Hostel Fee will be increased 6% per annum basis every year.
- Hostel Charges excludes Electricity Bill & Laundry Charges which will be paid separately on actual basis
- Fee for applying on the Portal of State Counselling Agency will be paid by the Candidate separately as per state counselling rule.
- Exam fee Rs. 35,000/- per exam will be payable as and when called for by the University.
