Sukh Sagar Medical College MBBS student falls to death from institute building, family suspects murder, probe on

Jabalpur: In an unfortunate incident, a first-year medical student of Sukh Sagar Medical College in Chargaon, Jabalpur succumbed to his injuries sustained after falling from the third floor of the institute building. The police have started an investigation to find out whether this incident was a suicide or murder.

According to the college authorities, the student fell from the third floor of the building and the medico's family suspects murder. Demanding an impartial investigation from the police, the family of the deceased medico claimed that he was a victim of murder and did not commit suicide.

During the preliminary investigation, the police found no suicide note in the student's possession and therefore the reason for his demise remains uncertain until the investigation is over.

As per a Free Press Journal news report, the guard was the first to discover the student's lifeless body in a pool of blood after he heard the loud thud. After reaching the spot, he saw the student's body lying on the ground. The guard then immediately informed the medical college management who called the police.

After receiving the news, the family members immediately reached Jabalpur, by then the police had taken the student's body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The college management informed them that the student passed away after falling from the third floor of the college building. However, the family members did not believe the statement of the college management and approached the police seeking a probe.

They filed a complaint at the police station and based on their statements, a case was registered. Further, the in-charge of Bargee police station, Kamlesh Chauria have begun an investigation in this case.
