Unregistered physiotherapists will not be allowed to practice after 31st October: Haryana Council of Physiotherapy to colleges
Haryana: Through a recent notice published on the DMER Haryana's website, the Haryana State Council of Physiotherapy has ordered all concerned colleges to get their working Physiotherapy staff registered with the council.
Govt. of Haryana enacted the Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy Act. 2020 for the constitution of the Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy for the purpose of Registration of Physiotherapists in the State and for Recognition of the Institutions imparting training in the field of Physiotherapy and for co-ordination and determination of standards of education in the field of Physiotherapy and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Now, issuing a notice recently notifying all the Physiotherapy colleges to get the physiotherapists working their institutes registered at the earliest, the council has stated,
Registration of all the physiotherapists working in the State of Haryana is mandatory as per the Act. For those who are not registered will not be allowed to practice after 31.10.2021.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research had been carved out of the Health Department as a separate Directorate on 8th January, 2009 for the up-gradation and expansion of Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Paramedical Education under administrative control of Administrative Secretary of the Department of Health & Medical Education. Subsequently a separate Department of Medical Education & Research was established vide Govt. Notification dated 4th September 2014.
