New Delhi: The prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has recently released the details of the admissions for MBBS course at the institute.

All the concerned candidates who are vying to pursue MBBS can view the admission process, eligibility, fee, seat matrix and other details as released by the institute.

The Course of studies leading to the award of degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences shall last for a minimum of five and a half academic years including one year's compulsory internship

Eligibility

A. Indian Nationals

1. Age

• Should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2020)
• Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 2004 are NOT eligible to apply
2. Essential Academic Qualification
• Candidate Should have passed the 12thClass under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY as subject. The candidates who have passed 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBS Entrance Examination (as per Hon'ble High Court Order No.2341/-W/DHC/WRITS/D-1/2019 dated 24/09/2019 in the Writ Petition (C) No. 6773/2019)
• Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the Examination with required percentage of marks (as indicated in Sl No. 03 below) are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying Examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks.
• If the institute has to consider an examination of an Indian university or of a foreign/university to be equivalent to the 12th class under 10+2 scheme/intermediate science examination, the candidates shall have to produce a certificate from the concerned Indian university/Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination passed by him/her is considered to be equivalent to the 12th class under 10+2 scheme/intermediate science examination .
3. Minimum marks
• The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying examination (as in the essential qualification at Sl. No. 2 of this table) required for appearing in this examination are :
• General and OBC candidates: 60% SC/ST candidates: 50% & PWBD candidates: 45%
• Those with CGPA grades only will have to apply the conversion factor in the application form. The conversion factor should be as approved by their respective examination board.
B. OVERSEAS CITIZEN OF INDIA (OCI) & NON-RESIDENT INDIANS (NRI) (Common to AIIMS, New Delhi & Seventeen other AIIMS): There is no specific quota for OCI & NRI student at AIIMS.
C. FOREIGN NATIONALS (Applicable to AIIMS, New Delhi only):
Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the subjects of ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. Course. Foreign Nationals are required to contact the Indian Mission/Post abroad in their country and the Ministry of External Affairs, & Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi for their nomination.
Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are NOT required to appear at the Competitive Entrance Examination.
Admission to AIIMS, New Delhi
1. General 
Admitted candidates must attend the Orientation Programme and join classes on 1 st August, 2020 (16thJuly, 2020 for AIIMS, New Delhi). The admission of the candidates, who fail to join the Course by the date stipulated in the letter of intimation, shall automatically be cancelled and such seats shall then be offered to the candidates on the waiting list in order of merit in the same category. Normally no candidate, Indian or Foreign, will be admitted to the MBBS course beyond 31st August of the year of the admission. No candidate except foreign nationals will be admitted under any circumstances beyond 31st August of the year of admission. The candidates who are admitted after 31st August will be eligible for appearing in the First Professional Examination only with the next batch ofstudents. Candidates selected for admission to the MBBS course at the AIIMS after verification of their eligibility and offered admission should bring the following original certificates/ testimonials/documents at the time of admission:
I. Certificate of having passed the 10+2 or equivalent Examinations, showing the subject offered by him/her in the Examination
II. Certificate from the Board from which he/she passed the High School/Higher Secondary Examination, showing his/her date of birth.
III. Certificate/Mark sheet from the Board from which he/she passed the 10+2 or equivalent Examination showing that he/she has secured 60% or more marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability) in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
IV. MigrationCertificate from the University/Board last attended by him/her.
V. Applicable only to candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Tribe/OBC/EWS/OPHCategory:
a. SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority. Community should be clearly
b. mentioned in the certificate.
c. OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the central list of OBC. OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy layer. OBC certificate must be in the prescribed format.
d. EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority.
e. Certificate from prescribed authority showing that he/she belongs to Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.

The dues are to be paid in cash or through Card immediately, after you have been declared medically fit in the Medical Board of the Institute as per details given below:

The above payment is to be made in Cash. Please Note that Cheques, Drafts, Money Orders etc. will not be accepted in any case, Extension of date for payment of dues will not be permitted in any case.
B. Foreign Nationals:
Tuition fees of US $ 75,000/-(divided in 3 equal installments for Pre-clinical phase, Para clinical phase and Clinical phase of MBBS course) will be charged from the foreign national students admitted to MBBS course at AIIMS.

NUMBER OF SEATS & RESERVATION

A. AIIMS, New Delhi:

The 125 (Hundred Twenty Five) seats for Indian Nationals and 7 (Seven) seats for (Foreign Nationals) are available for admission to MBBS course. Out of these, 19 (Nineteen) seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes, 9 (Nine) seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes, 34 (Thirty Four) seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes, 12 (Twelve) seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section and 51 (fifty-one) seats for General Category for Indian Nationals. A 5% reservation for Person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) as per provision of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 shall be provided on horizontal basis, amongst the seats available subject to evaluation by the Medical Board of the Institute. 

B. Eighteen other AIIMS:

In the Eighteen AIIMS (viz: Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Gorakhpur, Patna, Raipur, Mangalagiri, Nagpur, Kalyani, Rishikesh with intake of 125 student each and, Bathinda & Raibareli with intake of 100 students each, the Bibinagar (Telangana) and Deogarh with intake of 62 student each and 50 students each in Guwahati, Rajkot, Bilaspur and Jammu) with reservation policy followed by 7.5% ST, 15% SC, 27% OBC and 10% EWS, for Indian Nationals. A 5% reservation for Person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) as per provision of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available.
