MUHS releases Academic Term, Vacation Schedule For 2022-23
Maharashtra: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has released the academic term and vacation schedule for 2022-23.
As per the notice, during the academic year 2022-23, students of all Health Science Colleges/Institutes affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, shall have the following academic terms and vacations –

Total working available days, including the examination period, are more than 270 days. As per Ordinance No. 01/2014, attendance should not be less than 75% of the lectures delivered in each subject of the course of instruction and 80% in practical work for the examination during the total academic period. Attendance in both cases shall be calculated till such date before the commencement of the written examination or up to the end of the academic term, whichever is later.
During the course of study, actual attendance of the students in theory and practical shall be considered valid attendance. Participation in any gathering, cultural activities, sick leave, or any other leave will not be considered for the calculation of attendance. Hall tickets shall be issued only after fulfilling the criteria of attendance. It shall be the duty of the Dean/Principal to ensure the correctness of the attendance.
MUHS will hold two examinations in the academic year 2022-2023, i.e. in June / July and December/ January, which will be published on the website of the University. The period of Theory and Practical Examinations will be part of the academic term/session. There shall be no preparatory leave admissible to any student of any course.
The Dean/Principal of the college shall notify the tentative schedule of conduct of internal assessment examinations at the college level at least 3 months in advance. The above academic term/session and vacation shall apply uniformly to all affiliated colleges/institutions of the University.
Cutoff dates for admission to BSc Optometry, Diploma in Optometry and BSc in Paramedical Technology courses will be 31st October 2022. Academic Term/Session of courses conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, like MPH (N), MBA (Health Care Administration) etc., will be notified separately as their admission process is yet to be started. The program of examinations will be notified separately before 3 months of commencement of the examination.
