Application for FMGE June 2023 session can only be submitted online through NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in. There is no other methodology for application submission. Application submitted through any other mode shall be summarily rejected.

Candidates must read the information bulletin carefully and go through the instructions regarding submission of the online application form given in the information bulletin as well as on the FMGE index page on the NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in before starting the online submission process for FMGE June 2023 session.

Candidates should ensure that all the information entered during the online submission of the application form is correct and factual. Information provided by the candidates in the online application form shall be treated as correct, and NBEMS will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change in the information provided by the candidates. The option of editing certain information entered in the application form shall be available to the candidates during the edit window.

There is no provision for accessing the application form to make any changes to the information provided in the application form after the closure of the edit window.

Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered, and candidates may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations conducted by NBEMS or other Institutions.

Candidates who fail to submit duly completed applications for FMGE June 2023 with requisite documents and/or fail to rectify the deficiencies in their applications by the last date prescribed (i.e. 20 July 2023) for rectification shall be declared ineligible. Admit cards shall not be issued to candidates who are declared ineligible before the conduct of the examination. In such cases, the entire fee will be forfeited.

Candidates should ensure before submitting the online application form that they shall qualify for the final examination for their primary medical qualification by the prescribed cutoff date and their primary medical qualification shall be confirmed by the concerned Indian Embassy to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated. If it is found at any point in time that their primary medical qualification is not recognized, the candidature/result shall be cancelled/ deemed to be cancelled.

Candidates should have qualified for the final examination for their Primary Medical Qualification, i.e. MBBS or Equivalent degree, on/before 30 April 2023. They must submit proof of passing while applying for the FMGE. Suppose a candidate fails to substantiate the claim of having passed the primary medical qualification by the prescribed cutoff date, i.e. 30 April 2023, with supportive documents. In that case, their candidature shall be cancelled.

The foreign medical degrees should be attested by the Embassy of India or apostilled by the appropriate authority of the foreign country concerned. Kindly note that the apostilled/attestation is to be in accordance with the requirements of the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961, abolishing the requirement of legalization for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention).

The candidates note that the fee shall neither be carried forward to future exams nor refunded under any circumstances. Their eligibility is purely provisional & is subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed in this Information Bulletin.

Instructions in the Information Bulletin are liable to change based on decisions taken by the Government / National Medical Commission / Competent Authority / Court decisions from time to time.

The candidates who are applying for FMGE producing their NEET-UG result in lieu of the Eligibility Certificate in terms of aforesaid notifications are accordingly advised to ensure that they fulfil the Eligibility Criteria for admission to the MBBS course prescribed in the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997.

The candidate seeking provisional or permanent registration in India shall not have to qualify for the Screening Test if they hold an Under Graduate medical qualification from Australia/Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and the holder thereof has also been awarded a Post Graduate medical qualification in Australia/ Canada/New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America and has been recognized for enrolment as a medical practitioner in that country.

Eligibility of candidates who have obtained their primary medical qualification from Pakistan shall be subject to their security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Govt of India.

There are no restrictions on the number of attempts a candidate can make. However, FMGE being a qualifying examination, once a candidate qualifies for the FMGE, they shall not be eligible to take the FMGE again.

The process of online application –

1. All candidates desirous of applying for the FMGE June 2023 session shall be required to create an online profile of themselves to generate a UserID and Password.

2. This User ID and Password so created will allow the candidate to log in as an applicant for FMGE June 2023 session and register an online application. The “Go To Application” link will allow the applicant to continue submitting the application immediately after user creation.

3. If the Login password is lost, it can be retrieved by clicking “Forgot Your Password”.

4. The UserID/Application ID and generated password shall be sent to the candidate's registered email ID for future records.

5. The index page of the FMGE June 2023 session at NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in provides a quick link, “Already Registered? To login”. The online application form for FMGE June 2023 session can be accessed through this quick link after successful login.

6. The candidates can log in using their User ID and Password.

Eligibility criteria –

1. They are a citizen of India or Overseas Citizens of India.

2. The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated.

3. The final examination result for the said primary medical qualification should have been declared on or before 30 April 2023.

Admit card –

Admit cards for FMG Examination shall be available to download at NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in from 25 July 2023 onwards. Candidates found ineligible before the conduct of the examination shall not be issued admit cards.

Candidates will be informed through SMS/Email alerts and website notices regarding the availability of the admit card on the NBEMS website. Admit cards will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email.

Candidates must download their admit card from the NBEMS website and affix their recent (not more than 3 months old) passport-size photograph in the space provided on the admit card. The details related to the photograph are enclosed in the notice below.

Exam details –

1. NBEMS shall conduct FMGE at various exam centres engaged for the purpose. The tentative lists of cities where the exam will be conducted are enclosed in the notice below. When online submitting the application form, the candidates must choose the city where they want to take the test. The choice of city will depend on the availability of the test centres in a particular city, and the allotment shall be done on a first-come, first-serve basis.

2. In case a testing seat is not available in the State/UT where the candidates prefer to appear in FMGE, they can choose the options others from the list of States/UTs at the time of selection of the State/UT during online submission of the application form.

3. The examination test centre staff on duty is authorized to verify the identity of candidates and may take steps to verify and record the identity of candidates.

4. Possession/ Use of mobile phones/Electronic devices is strictly prohibited on the premises of NBEMS Test Centres. Candidates shall be liable for penal action for Possession/ Use of Mobile phones/ Electronic devices.

5. A demo test shall be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarise themselves with the Computer Based Test format at the website https://natboard.edu.in Candidates will be able to access the Demo test tentatively from 20 July 2023 onwards.

6. Examination Fee – Rs 6000 + Rs 1080 (GST @18%) = Rs 7080

7. The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through a payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or other modes as may be made available and have been provided on the web page. Fee cannot be deposited through any mode other than the payment gateway available while submitting the online application form submission.

8. The candidates should ensure that the payment for the examination fee is successful, and confirmation of the same can be seen in the application form under payment status reflected as “S” (for successful). In case the status is shown as pending, the payment might be stuck with their bank and might be cleared at a later date. The application submission process is not completed till such time the status of the payment is reflected as “S” in the application form.

9. Examination fees for candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason shall be forfeited.

10. Entry of candidates per time slots given in the admit cards. Candidates must report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue at as per time indicated in their admit cards. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes before the test starts time. This will allow time for security checks, identity verification and checking in for examination.

11. Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances.

12. The admit card shall indicate the Exact address and location of the test centres.

13. Only the candidates who have been issued admit cards will be allowed entry inside the examination centre premises subject to fulfilment of documentary requirements.

14. The candidate will flash the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with a barcode/QR code reader. The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab number.

15. Identity checks will be made upon arrival at the test centre to ensure no unauthorised candidates appear for the exam.

Multiple Choice Questions –

1. The examination consists of one paper comprising 300 multiple-choice questions. Each question shall have 4 response options/distractors in English language only. Candidates must select the correct/best/most appropriate response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question.

2. The paper shall be delivered in two parts to be taken in a single day, each comprising 150 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes.

3. There shall be no negative marking.

4. A candidate shall be declared as having passed only if they obtain a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 in the examination.

The following documents need to be carried at the test centre –

1. Printed copy of the Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card with their photograph pasted.

2. Any one of the Govt issued photo IDs (must be original and valid/non-expired) - PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card (with the photograph).

Result –

The result of the FMG Examination shall be displayed on the NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in. There is no provision for re-totalling/reevaluation.
