NBE notifies final mop up round counselling schedule for FNB admissions 2025 session, check complete details
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for the Final (Mop-up) Round of online Centralised Merit Based Counselling for admission to FNB seats for the 2025 admission session.
As per the schedule mentioned in the notice issued by the NBE in this regard, the eligible candidates will be able to log in and fill their choices for the final mop-up round from September 18 to September 21, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
The allotment result will be declared on September 25, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

Through the notice, NBEMS has clarified that only those candidates who are already registered for the counselling and have not been allotted any seat during the First and/ or Second round of the Counselling will be eligible to participate in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counselling.
The Board further informed candidates that the seat matrix for the Final (Mop-up) Round of the Counselling shall be published before the commencement of the said round of the Counselling.
Meanwhile, NBEMS has also issued an important direction to participating hospitals.
"The hospitals are strictly advised to ensure that the joining/resignation status of all candidates is duly updated and kept current on the Counselling Portal. In case any candidate resigns before commencement of the Final (Mop-up) Round of Counselling, the concerned hospital shall ensure that the resignation details of such candidate are updated on the aforesaid Counselling Portal on or before tomorrow, i.e. 17th September 2026 (up to 05:00 PM) for consideration of the resultant vacant seat for inclusion in the Final (Mop-up) Round of Counselling. Failure to update the resignation details within the stipulated timeline shall result in non-inclusion of the corresponding seat in the Final (Mop-up) Round of Counselling," it said.
Moreover, candidates participating in the mop-up round have also been asked to carefully go through the flow chart detailing the FNB seat allotment process.
Importantly, candidates who fail to join their allotted (if allotted a seat) institution in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counselling by the stipulated date, i.e. 01 October 2026, will lose their FNB seat, and their First Year Course Fee shall be forfeited.
