NEET Counselling 2023 for MBBS, BDS Admissions: Check out Complete MCC seat matrix here
New Delhi: For the ongoing NEET counselling 2023, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the complete seat matrix of MBBS and BDS seats available for eligible candidates this year.
The seat matrixes have been released for the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling, central university quota, seats at deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC Scheme.
According to these seat matrixes published on the MCC's official website, 7,624 MBBS seats are available under AIQ, 1,015 under the central university quota and 9,887 at deemed institutes.
Similar to last year, AIIMS is offering 2,169 MBBS seats this year while there are 243 MBBS seats at JIPMER.
For the BDS course, the candidates have 489 AIQ seats to compete for, 3,100 at Deemed institutes and 248 seats under Central University Quota.
454 MBBS and 28 BDS seats are available for candidates seeking admissions under ESIC Scheme.

The MCC will allow candidates to fill out and lock their preferred course selections until today at 11:55 p.m. According to the NEET UG Counselling schedule, seat allotment will take place from July 27 to 28, 2023 and the results will be released on July 29, 2023.
Candidates who are assigned seats and choose to accept them must upload documentation to the MCC portal by July 30. The designated medical/dental college will be reported to and joined from July 31 to August 4.

Only Online NEET Counselling this year:
Moreover, with an aim to put an end to the issue of seat blocking in medical colleges, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed the counselling agencies in the State and the Centre to fill up seats in all medical institutes through online counselling.
Clarifying that the mode of counselling will be online even for the stray vacancy round in Private Medical Colleges from this academic year, the NMC Board has further mentioned that no college/institute should conduct the counselling, including the stray vacancy round, in physical mode.
Issuing a circular to the Principal Secretary of Health of all States/UTs and the Director of Directorate of Medical Education of all States/ UTs/Medical Counselling Authority, NMC referred to the Supreme Court order issued in this regard last year.
"As per the Orders of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in I.A. No. 132614/2022 in WP(C) 267/2017, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare shall conduct Online Counselling for stray vacancy round for 100% seats in Deemed Universities in UG & PG courses," NMC mentioned.
Referring to the Apex Court's direction, NMC PG Board requested all State Counselling Agencies to make necessary arrangements for conducting the counselling online for all the rounds including the stray vacancy round in self-financing medical colleges.
"All the State Counselling Agencies are requested to make necessary arrangement for conducting the counselling in online mode, for all rounds including stray vacancy round in Private Medical Colleges, from the academic year 2023-24. No College/Institute should conduct the counselling, including the stray vacancy round, in physical mode," stated in the circular issued by Aujender Singh, Deputy Secretary of PGMEB.
