New Delhi- The National Medical Commission (NMC) is soon going to open an online portal for eligibility certificates for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) screening test candidates. The FMGE Screening Test is tentatively scheduled for July 2025 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

As per the official public notice released by NMC in this regard, candidates who want to appear for the FMGE Screening Test 2025 must have the eligibility certificate issued by NMC. Therefore, candidates who have not yet received the eligibility certificate must apply for it through the official website of NMC. To apply for the eligibility certificate, candidates must submit an application form which will be made available from March 10, 2025, 09:30 am to April 9, 2025, 06:00 pm.

However, it should be noted that this is the last opportunity to apply for an eligibility certificate and after this candidates will not get any more chances to apply for an eligibility certificate. Accordingly, all the candidates are requested to do due diligence before applying and submitting the application only after carefully checking the requisite entries.

Meanwhile, below are some of the suggested measures for the candidates to avoid mistakes while applying for the Eligibility Certificate (EC)-

1 The applications should preferably be filled by the candidate himself and should ideally avoid proxy for making applications for EC.

2 The candidates are also advised to keep their documents handy before filling application for EC. It would be ideal if the entries to be made were verified vis-a-vis entries in the original documents.

3 The candidates should provide their active mobile numbers so that alerts/deficiencies can reach them directly for rectification to obviate any delay in rectification. It may also be ensured that once the deficiency is conveyed only the deficiency should be rectified by the respective candidate as expeditiously as possible to avoid last minute rush.

4 Candidates shall scrupulously check entries and ensure conformity with the details in the original documents to ensure quick processing/approval of applications if otherwise eligible.

Moreover, candidates can make enquiries about the status of the Eligibility application at NMC's official website, however, while making such enquiries, all the candidates are requested to invariably provide their File Tracking Number, which was generated while submitting the application to NMC for issuance of Eligibility Certificate. It may please be noted that no response would be sent to the candidate in the absence of File Tracking Number.
