829 Seats Vacant For MSc Nursing Admissions in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu: Tentative seat matrix for M.Sc. Nursing course in government medical colleges has been released by Director of Medical Education (DME).

A total of 829 seats are allotted for M.Sc. Nursing course. The highest number of seats is allocated to Medical & Surgical Nursing is 182.

Following is the seat matrix -

4. Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing – 162

5. Psychiatric Nursing – 148

6. Oncology – 2

7. Cardio-Thoracic – 2

All candidates have to register to participate in the counselling. Candidates retaining their seats need not participate in the counselling. However, candidates who are newly added to the merit list and registered in round 1 of counselling but not allotted candidates can attend the counselling process.

The candidates need to keep track of the website for the vacancy position. Re-allotment/allotment will make reallotment/allotment based on rank by applying the rule of reservation, as per DME.

Candidates who want re-allotment of their allotted seat in round 1 will be considered an anticipated vacancy. This vacancy and existing vacancies will be displayed for other candidates during choice filling in this phase. So the candidates who are willing for re-allotment must register. Candidates who are not willing for re-allotment need not participate in the counselling. Their status of seats will be considered as retained.

Candidates selected for admission need to give a self-declaration form when reporting to the college that they are liable for forfeiture of admission if suppression of facts misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

After paying the tuition fee, candidates can download the provisional allotment order. The tuition fee can be paid online debit card, net banking, or credit card, which is non-refundable. Re-allotted candidates need not pay the tuition fee again. Candidates need to join the college on or before the date and time stipulated as mentioned in the allotment order.
