BOPEE To Begin Application Process For MSc Nursing Courses, Details
Jammu and Kashmir: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) to begin the application process for MSc Nursing courses.
The candidates willing to apply must submit the application form physically at the BOPEE office in Jammu/Srinagar (on working days only) along with the self-attested certificates mentioned below w.e.f 08-05-2023 to 28-05-2023 (04.00 PM). The application form will be available at the BOPEE office in Jammu/Srinagar and annexed as Annexure “A” to this Notification which can be downloaded from the official website www.jkbopee.gov.in.
Afore-titled documents as required for submission of the application form will be considered provisional and subject to change(s) vide any order that the Government may subsequently issue. The candidates will pay the fee of Rs. 1500 through the POS machine available at the BOPEE office in Jammu/Srinagar through debit/credit card.
Mere submission of the application form and appearance of the aspiring candidate in the entrance test will not confer any preferential right/claim for admission upon the intending applicants. Still, it will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria and the qualification prescribed for the said course during counseling.
The Board has the right to select /reject any application form at any stage, if found false/fabricated, without issuing any notice to the candidate.
The following documents have to be submitted along with the application form –
1. Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (for Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate).
2. Marks card of BSc Nursing/BSc Hons. Nursing/Post-Basic BSc Nursing Courses, whichever is applicable.
3. Date of Birth (10th Class Marks card/Diploma issued by the Board only).
4. Experience/work Certificate.
5. Registration Certificate.
6. Valid Reserved category certificate, if any.
The candidates note that no under-process certificate will be accepted/entertained. Original documents, as mentioned above, must be submitted to the concerned Institution at the time of admission if selected provisionally.
Eligibility –
1. The candidates should have a Domicile of UT of J&K/Ladakh.
2. The candidates should have passed BSc Nursing/BSc Hons. Nursing/Post-Basic BSc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. The candidates should be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives or equivalent with any State/UT Nursing Registration Council.
4. The candidates must have at least one year of work experience after Basic BSc Nursing.
5. The candidates must have a minimum of one year of work experience before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing
The eligibility is bare minimum/provisional and will be subject to such changes/benchmarks as may be fixed by the concerned University/competent Authority. The Board will, on receipt of any such communication from the concerned authority/University, notify the same, which will govern the eligibility criteria.

Selection –
The selection of the candidates will be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, SRO 505 of 2019 dated 20-08-2019 read with SRO 640 of 2019 dated 24- 10-2019 and the Rules and Regulations there under JK Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, S.O 127 dated 20-04-2020, S.O 249 dated 23-07-2021 and subject to further amendments, if any, made by the Competent Authority/Govt., issued from time to time.
The Board shall fill these seats based on the percentage of final year marks scored by the candidates in the qualifying examination as filled in by the candidates in the application form and based on preferences filled in during counseling. In case two or more candidates have the same Marks in BSc Nursing/ BSc Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic BSc Nursing, then their tie will be resolved by considering their DOB (older shall be given 1st preference & in case of a further link, 1st alphabet of the candidate's name will be taken into account for selection.
