Meghalaya: Online applications are invited for BSc Nursing courses for the academic session 2022-23 announces Directorate of Health Services (DHS). The online applications can be filled till 22nd July 2022.

As per the notice, the candidates while filling the application form will have to indicate the order of their preference for different courses under allied courses. Preference not indicated against any course will be treated as not opted and preference once indicated cannot be changed.

Eligibility criteria for applying –

1. Only candidates who are indigenous inhabitants of the State and have passed 10+2 level examination from a recognized University, Board of Authority with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible to apply.

2. Candidates should also secure a minimum of 40% aggregated marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).

3. Candidates should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2022.

4. Candidates should be medically fit.

No application will be accepted or entertained after the last date of submission. The eligible list of candidates for the counselling process will be published on the official website www.meghealth.gov.in. The counselling process will be announced in due course of time. Selection of candidates, who are medically fit and eligible, will be made purely on the basis of merit and subject to the reservation policy of the State Government.

The list of selected candidates eligible for undergoing the course will be displayed on the notice board of the Directorate of Health Services (MI), Shillong and Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Tura, West Garo Hills and on the Government website and it will also be published in the local dailies published from Shillong and Tura.

Selected candidates need to report immediately to the Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department, Room No. 506, and Additional Secretariat Building to collect their letter of nomination for further instructions as the case may be. And those who fail to report according to the fixed date will automatically lose their right to the nomination and the next eligible candidate from the waiting list will be nominated.

Terms and conditions for admission and all other requirements including recurring fees of the concerned Allied Institution to which the candidate is nominated will have to be abided and paid by the candidate concerned in time. Candidates note that on completion of their studies the Government does not guarantee jobs to them depending upon the availability of vacant posts.
