CENTAC Announces Common Entrance Exam for BSc Nursing Admissions- Applications Open from Tomorrow
Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has announced the conduction of Common Entrance Examination for admissions to BSc (Nursing) CENTAC Government Quota.
As per the notification, the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, has proposed to conduct the Common Entrance Examination for the BSc (Nursing) CENTAC Government Quota Admission, through the Board of Examination of Nurses, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Service, Puducherry.
The CET is scheduled to be conducted on 29 June 2025 and the commencement of Application for registration will start on the CENTAC Website from tomorrow, i.e. 15 May 2025 at 10.00 AM and closes on 30 May 2025 at 05:45 ΡΜ.
Further, the Self Supporting seats of B.Sc. (Nursing) in College of Nursing, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute (IGMC&RI), Puducherry and the Self Supporting seats, NRI Quota seats in Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute (MTPG&RI), Puducherry and Karaikal respectively, will be filled up by considering the NEET UG scorecard. Also, for Management Quota seats, admission will be made through another procedure as followed in the previous years.
CENTAC is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella. Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, conduct admissions for first-year MBBS, BAMS, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPT, BSc (Nursing), BSc (MLT), BPharma, BA LLB, LLB, BSc (Agriculture) and BSc (Horticulture) programmes and postgraduate programmes. To confirm admission, candidates must attend the counselling in person at a specified date and time. After CENTAC 2024 counselling, the authorities will allot seats to the candidates based on merit.
