DHS Manipur invites Online Applications For Selection, Nomination To Nursing, Paramedical Courses, Details
Manipur: Director of Health Services (DHS) opens the window for online applications for selection and nomination to courses including BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, BSc Radio Imagining Technology, B.Sc. in Optometry &Ophthalmic, B.Sc. In Lab Technology, ANM/GNM courses for the academic session, 2022-23.
The candidates will have to pay the application and exam fees. The application fee for B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical courses will be Rs 500 for all categories, and exam fees will be Rs 900 (General/OBC) and Rs 500 (ST/SC). Once candidates opt for 2 courses in such cases, the exam fee will be double. For M.Sc. Nursing, the cost of the application will be Rs 2000 for all categories and exam fees will be Rs 900 (General/OBC) and Rs 500 (ST/SC). For GNM/FHW exam, the fee will be Rs 300 (General/OBC) and Rs 200 (ST/SC).

• Issue of Admit Card – 24.6.2022-30.6.2022
Date of Entrance Examination –
1. B.Sc Nursing and Paramedical courses – 3.7.2022
2. GNM/FHW and M.Sc. Nursing – 24.7.2022
Date of Counseling -
1. B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing – 3.8.2022 (10.30 am onwards)
2. GNM/FHW and Paramedical courses – 4.8.2022 (10.30 am onwards)
Venue of counselling - Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat Main Auditorium, JNIMS
DHS has notified that the candidates will be admitted once a year. Seats for male candidates for the course of B. Sc. Nursing arc available at College of Nursing, RIMS and RIPANS, Aizawl only. The application form will be available on the official website of DHS. At the same time, the application form for GNM courses will also be available at www.manipurhealthdirectorate.in.
Candidates should be medically fit, and a physical fitness certificate should be enclosed. They should be a domicile of Manipur. Either of the parents should have been residing in Manipur continuously for 20 years or is in the service of the Government of Manipur, or an organization is a body substantially owned or controlled by the Government of Manipur.
Education criteria –
B.Sc. Nursing –
1. Candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying examination (10+2) from a recognized university or council or board and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together and passed individually.
2. For RIPANS and Kokata 10+2(Se.)/equivalent exam passed from any recognized Board/University/Council with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
3. Student appearing/passed in 10-2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
4. Ago shall be 17-35 years on 31.12.2022.
B.Sc. Radio Imagining Technology, B.Sc. in Optometry &Ophthalmic, B.Sc. In Lab Technology -
1. For RIPANS (Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences, Aizawl): 10+2(Sc)/(equivalent exam passed from any recognized Board/University/Council with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology passed individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
2. Age shall be 17-24 years for General & 17-27 years for ST/SC/OBC candidates on 31.12.2022.
ANM/GNM –
1. The candidate's age should be between 17 years and 35 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
2. 10+2 in Arts/Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Physiology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science/Health Care Science vocational stream only passing out from an institute recognized by higher secondary education or its equivalent body/council including National Institute of Open Schools.
M.Sc. Nursing –
1. Only Female candidates are eligible for the available seats at CON, Medical Directorate, Lamphier
2. Candidate should have a minimum qualification art B.Sc. Hons./B, Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55 % aggregate marks for Gen./OBC and 50% for ST/SC.
3. Roster Point of 200 and reservation policy of the Government of Manipur shall be adopted in the allotment of seats.
4. Candidates should be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with Manipur State Nursing Council.
5. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in an approved hospital or in a College or School of Nursing or a Community Health setting/program after B. Sc. Hons. Nursing/B. Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
6. Candidates should submit their experience certificate along with their application form.
7. Candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree through distance education (IGNOU) may be considered only if the study centre is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
8. Candidates should be medically fit and vaccinated for Hepatitis B.
9. The Open Category candidate should complete 21 years and should not be more than 30 years of age by December of that academic year, whereas, for those candidates of sponsored category, the maximum age will be 50 years at the time of admission.
10. Candidate should be the domicile in Manipur.
11. The sponsoring authority shall be the Government of Manipur or any organization wholly or partially owned by the Government of Manipur.
12. If a sufficient number of candidates in the Sponsored category are unavailable, the vacant seat will be converted to the open category.
