DME Telangana invites applications for post basic nursing diploma courses, check details

Telangana: The Director of Telangana (DME) Telangana is inviting applications from eligible female candidates belonging to Telangana State for admission into one-year Post Basic Diploma Courses in Neonatal Nursing, and Oncology Nursing in Private institutions for the academic year 2025-2026.

According to the official notification issued by the DME Telangana in this regard, the application Forms are available at the DME Telangana office till 05 December 2025 from 11 AM to 4:30 PM.

Last date for submission of filled-in application forms to the DME Telanagana is 06 December 2025. The applications received after 4:30 PM will not be considered under any circumstances and this office is not responsible for any postal delay.

Application fee is Rs 1000/-for each application. The application can be collected by submitting a Rs 1000/- DD drawn in favour of the Director Medical Education, Telangana, Koti, Sulthan Bazar, Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the selection process will be completed by 09 December 2025. Following this, the selected candidates should report to the institutions on or before 11 December 2025. Commencement of classes will be on 12 December 2025. However, the DME Telanagana is the final authority to finalise the admission process.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1 Applications for the Post Basic Diploma course will be considered only in case of qualified GNM and BSc (N) studied in INC and State Nursing Council recognised institutions.

2 Be a registered nurse and registered midwife (RN & RM).

3 Must possess a minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse.

4 Nurses from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from INC before admission.

5 Be physically fit.

6 The upper age limit for admission is 45 years for all categories.

7 The selection process should be as per reservations for Government Quota seats, i.e., 40% seats for each course.

8 The eligible candidates have to apply for Management Quota seats at the concerned private institutions for 60% of seats.

9 The notification is issued for 8 courses for this year as per the Government orders.
