Jharkhand: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has invited online applications for ANM and GNM courses.

The detailed schedule –

1. The last date to apply – 16.6.2023

2. Edit window will be open from – 17.6.2023 – 19.6.2023

3. The date of the entrance exam – 2.7.2023 (10:00 am – 12.30 pm)

The process to apply –

The candidates must visit the https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/ and click “Click here for All Online Application Submission – JCECEB 2023.” Then click on “Nursing Exam Competitive Examination 2023.” They need to follow the guidelines and fill out the form there.

While submitting the online application, the candidates must upload a passport-size photograph with clear visibility of face and ears. According to the guidelines, the signature and left thumb fingerprints must be done in the place mentioned. Once the online application is submitted, candidates must keep the printout for future reference. The hard copy shouldn’t be sent to JCECEB.

The candidates who require changes in the details filled in after submitting the application can do it on the above-mentioned dates for the edit window. They can choose only one course.

Duration of the course –

1. ANM – 2 years

2. GNM – 3 years

Eligibility –

ANM –

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December 2023.

2. The Maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.

3. The minimum educational requirement shall be 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective OR Science OR Health care Science - Vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board.

4. Student shall be medically fit.

5. Student Qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by the National Institute of Open School.

6. Only female candidates are eligible for the ANM course.

GNM –

1. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years as on 31st December 2023.

2. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.

3. The candidates must be 10+2. English and must have obtained at least 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (N10S) recognized by the Central Government. However, Science is preferable.

4. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

5. 10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.

6. Registered ANM with a pass mark.

7. Student shall be medically fit.

8. Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination of Health care Science - Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.

The candidates who are permanent residents of Jharkhand or those who come in the category of permanent residents of Jharkhand will only be considered for nursing admission.

Exam details –

1. Exam center – Ranchi, Dhanbad, Palamu, Jamshedpur, and Dumka

2. The candidates must select the exam center while completing the online application form.

3. The online admit card will mention the details related to the exam center.

4. The admit card will be released 4 days before the entrance exam. The candidates will have to download it from the website.

5. Total marks in the exam – 150 (physics – 30, chemistry – 30, biology – 30, maths – 30)

Exam fee (credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI) –

1. General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II – Rs 900

2. SC/ST/Female of all categories – Rs 450

3. Person with Disability – exempted

Merit list –

1. The merit list will be prepared based on the scores received in the above subjects.

2. If the 2 candidates receive the same score, then the candidate with more scores in biology will be considered. But if the scores in biology are the same, the candidate who receives more scores in chemistry will be considered. Still, if the scores are the same, priority will be given according to the date of birth.

Reservation –

The reservation will be based on EWS, BC-I, BC-II, ST, SC, PTG, and PH/DQ.
