Vijayawada: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada (NTRUHS) has invited online applications for admission to MSc (Nursing) courses under the Competent Authority Quota for 2025-26.

With the notification issued recently and the application window open till 10:00 a.m. on October 23 via the designated portal; eligibility highlights include B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons)/Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with 55% (5% relaxation for SC/ST), RNRM registration within the prescribed cut-off dates, no upper age limit per INC, and the required one-year work experience as applicable, while detailed fee heads, document uploads and subsequent counselling steps are provided in the university’s notification and prospectus.

1. Entire Application process is through online mode only, including uploading of Images, scanned copies of Certificates/documents and payment of fees etc. Therefore, candidates are not required to send printout of application form/verification form etc. to the University. OFFLINE APPLICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

2. All further notifications will be placed on University website ONLY. No Individual intimations will be sent. Please visit the University website regularly for subsequent Notifications / Notices instructions, till the closure of admissions.

3. All the above dates are tentative and the University reserves the right to change them without assigning any reason or advance notice. Mere submission of application does not confer any right for a seat.

4. Printout of the filled in Online application form, Provisional Verification form along with Original Certificates should be submitted at the time of admission at allotted college. Hence, the candidates are informed/required to take printout of filled in online application & provisional verification form.

Eligibility for M.Sc.,(Nursing) Courses-

The Candidates should be Indian National and the eligibility criteria is as detailed below:

(a) Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed B.Sc., (Nursing) /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Institution which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST candidates.

(b) Age: No Upper age Limit as per INC Regulation Vide F.No.1-6/(LT)- 2023-INC. dt.01.02.2024.

(c) Gender: Both women and men candidates are eligible to apply for the M.Sc (Nursing) as per GO .Ms. No. 77, HM & FW (K1) Dept, dated 13.06.2013. Regarding male candidate, admission will be as per G.O.Ms.No.79, HM & FW (K1) Dept, dated 17.06.2013. Admission for male candidates will be considered in colleges where the principals have agreed to admit male candidates.

(d) Registration with Nursing Council: Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council for Service and Non--Service candidates.

• In case of B.Sc., (N) candidates, those who registered in Nursing council prior to 30.09.2024 are only eligible. Those who registered after 30.09.2024 are not eligible for this academic year 2025-26.

• In case of Post B.Sc., (N) candidates those who registered in Nursing council prior to 30.09.2025 are only eligible. Those who registered after 30.09.2025 are not eligible for this academic year 2025-26.

(e) Experience for Service Candidates:

Should be a regular employee of the Government of AP as per the para 12 of AP Education Institutes (Regulations of Admissions) order 1974 (AP Medical & Health Services and AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad and should have put in not less than 5 years of Service in the said Dept., in any capacity in Nursing as on 30.09.2025.

(f) Experience for Regular Candidates (Non – Service Candidates):

i. Minimum one year of work experience after Registration of B.Sc., (Nursing) Degree in Nursing council as on 30-09-2025 is required. That means the candidates who registered in Nursing council as on 30.09.2024 are only eligible and those who registered in Nursing council after 30.09.2024 are not eligible as they will not complete one year experience by 30.09.2025.

ii. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Registration of Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) courses as on 30-09-2025.

Note:

Experience Certificate once submitted is final. No Alterations/ No Revised Service Certificate will be accepted after submission of application. The candidates who have not acquired relevant service and not submitted requisite service certificate, such applications will be rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the application before submitting.

(g) Physical fitness: The candidate shall be medically fit.

(f) Post Basic B.Sc(Nursing) from IGNOU:

i. The candidates who qualified Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from IGNOU through distance education are also eligible, if the study centre is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

ii. The candidates, who completed Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from any IGNOU study centers can make application for admission into M.Sc., (N) course provided they have taken admission in IGNOU study centers prior to year 2012. The students who have undergone P.B.B.Sc.,(N) course from IGNOU after this date are eligible for admission into M.Sc.(N) only if the study centers are recognized by IGNOU.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA UNDER IN SERVICE QUOTA:

a. Candidates are working on Government/Regular bases are only eligible

b. Services Candidates should be a regular employee of the Government of AP as per the para 12 of AP Education Institutes (Regulations of Admissions) order 1974 (AP Medical & Health Services and AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Vaidya Vidhana Parishad) and should have put in not less than 5 years of Service in the said Dept., in any capacity in Nursing as on 30-09-2025.

c. Seats Allocated to In-Service Candidates which become vacant after second counselling will automatically be reverted to non-service for further counselling.

d. In-service candidates who are having the remaining service of a minimum of Seven (7) years as on 30-09-2025 are only eligible to apply for the said seats

RESERVATION:

a) Seats of M.Sc(N) Courses are reserved for SC, ST and BC sub groups as detailed below, which are called vertical reservations.

b) As per Memo No.2825083/C1/2025, dt.23-05-2025 of HM&FW (C1) Dept., Govt. of AP the reservations provided to the three groups of Scheduled Castes shall be within fifteen (15%) of reservation prescribed to Scheduled Castes as follows:-z

c) As per Memo No.2832690/C1/2025, dt.15-07-2025 of HM&FW (C1) Dept., Govt. of AP the implementation of SC sub-classification when availability of seats are less, has been examined in consultation with Social welfare Department and Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby clarify that:

1) When particular seat is not available, the rules with regard to sub- classification specify that if Group-I eligible candidate for admission is not available it shall be filled in by the candidate belonging to Group-II and so on and so forth.

2) In cases where the availability of seats is limited/less, the Competent authority for admissions may take appropriate administrative decisions regarding net group adjustments among the sub-groups of Scheduled Castes (SCs). This should be done by duly following the established procedure for net group adjustments as is practiced among the Backward Classes (BC) sub-groups. Such decisions must be placed before the selection committee for admissions, by justified reasons taking the spirit of sub-classification of Scheduled Castes.

d) CERTIFICATION OF CASTE:

a) As per Memo No.2832690/C1/2025, dt.21-07-2025 of HM&FW (C1) Dept., Govt. of A.P., the Caste certificates issued by the Government of A.P will only be considered for admissions.

b) Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class candidates shall in support of their claim, have to furnish latest Integrated Caste Certificate with Barcode obtained from Government of AP in the prescribed form issued by the Concerned Authority. If the certificate is not in the prescribed form, candidates will not be considered for selection under the reserved quota.

c) Latest Permanent caste certificate (issued by Competent Authority of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh only). Caste certificates of other States will not be accepted & in such cases the applied candidate will be considered under General category only.

d) Candidates claiming reservations under SC/ST/BC categories shall submit a permanent social status certificate mentioning the sub- caste in case of Scheduled Castes/ Backward Castes and sub-tribe or sub-group (in case of Scheduled Tribes) issued by the Competent Authority of Government of Andhra Pradesh only. The social status of SC/ST/BC candidates shall be subject to the scrutiny as per G.O.Ms.No.58 SW (J) Dept. Dt 12-5-97 & as per G.O.Ms.No.7, Social Welfare (CV), dt.18-04-2025.

e) In case of Minority candidates, the Minority certificate issued by Minorities Welfare Department, Government of AP to be furnished in support of their claim

APPLICATIONS THROUGH ONLINE:

a) The on-line application forms will be available on the Website from 10.00 A.M. on 17-10-2025 to 10.00 A.M. on 23-10-2025

b)  The candidates are advised to take a print out of the Prospectus from the website before proceeding to fill in the correct application form.

The candidate should fill the online application form available on the Website with the required data from a desktop/laptop only with internet connection.

♦ Candidates are advised to carefully go through the prospectus in detail and, upon confirming their eligibility, proceed to fill in the correct CQ Online Application Form. All required certificates should be kept readily available to ensure accurate and complete submission of information. It may be noted that no request for refund or transfer of fee will be considered in cases where an incorrect application is submitted.

♦ No new applications shall be entertained beyond the notified cut- off date, and candidates will not be permitted to apply until the completion of Phase-III (Mop-Up) Counselling.

Procedure of filling online application form and payment of fee through online:

The fee can be paid through Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking.

a. Read the Notification, Prospectus / Regulations carefully regarding eligibility under local and non-local.

b. The Registration number which will be sent to the registered mobile after entering the basic details, should be noted for further use. The Registration number should be kept confidential and should not be disclosed to others.

c. The candidates should fill - in all the correct details in the online application form and shall upload all the requisite documents.

VERIFICATION OF CERTIFICATES:

a) The eligibility of a candidate will be verified basing on the uploaded copies of scanned certificates/ documents.

b) The candidates who are claiming reservation under Special Categories i.e., PwBD, have to watch the University website for further notifications, if any, for scrutiny of original certificates of respective special category.

Note: The candidature of the applicant will not be considered for admission into M.Sc.(Nursing) courses if not submitted the online application by uploading the scanned copies of required certificates/documents as per regulations.

The eligibility and community verification will be done basing on the uploaded scanned original certificates.

MERIT LIST:

i. The Provisional Merit Position of the candidates those who have applied through online in response to the notification issued by Dr. NTRUHS for Competent Authority Quota seats into M.Sc., (N) shall be determined by after verification of uploaded certificates by the University and officials of concerned departments as per eligibility rules/ regulations.

ii. The University will release final merit position of eligible candidates for exercising web Options, after completion of the verification of data and certificates uploaded by the candidates.

iii. The merit list will be prepared on the marks obtained in B.Sc., (N)/ B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) group subjects (all subjects) up to two decimal places excluding Computer Sciences and English marks.

iv. As the Merit list will be prepared basing on Group subjects, the candidates while filling up of Online application, shall enter the total marks excluding English & Computer Science Marks as the case may be.

v. In case equality aggregate marks, age shall be taken into consideration and older candidates shall be given higher places in the merit list.

WEB COUNSELING:-

The Notification for exercising web options, procedure and applicable guidelines for admission into M.Sc., (N) courses will be issued separately from time to time. Same application will be considered for all phases of the counselling.

ADMISSION RULES:

i) The Selected candidates have to download the allotment order from the website after payment of University fee by payment gateway.

ii) The candidate should submit the printout of the filled in online application form, provisional allotment order and original certificates along with one set of attested copies to the Principal of the allotted college at the time of joining for final verification. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be cancelled.

FINALITY OF SELECTION:

All selections made under these Regulations shall be subject to any general regulations or order that may be made by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences/ Government of AP from time to time.

VACANCIES:

Vacancies if any caused due to failure to join or cancellation of admission or demise of the candidate etc., before the closure of admissions, shall be filled by the Admission Committee in accordance with the Regulations.

COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE:

The course shall commence as per the schedule notified

CLOSURE OF ADMISSIONS:

The Admissions shall be closed on the date as notified by the University as per the Indian Nursing Council Regulations.

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

• The duration of the course shall be two years.

• As per the Regulations of INC, New Delhi the maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 4 (four) years.

COURSE OF STUDY:

The candidates admitted into M. Sc (Nursing) course shall pursue the study in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the Academic Senate of University.

LEAVE:

Each year students will be permitted to avail 30 days leave. No Post Graduate is allowed to go on leave more than 8 days at a stretch. In case the absence of the candidate availing Medical Leave / Maternity Leave / Any other Leave or unauthorized absence is beyond 30 days in a year the study period of the candidate will be extended to the extent of such period. No other leave is permitted.

BREAK OF STUDY AND READMISSION:

If a student is absent continuously for a period of 91 days or more and seeks permission to attend the course, his / her application in prescribed format by paying requisite fee in favour of Registrar, Dr NTRUHS payable at Vijayawada shall be forwarded to the University with the recommendation of the Dean/Principal.

AGREEMENT BOND/Discontinuation of course:

(a)  All the candidates joining the M.Sc., (Nursing) course shall execute a bond on nonjudicial stamp paper of value of Rs100/- as prescribed in Annexure V to the regulations to ensure completion of the prescribed period of study. In case, if any candidate wish to discontinue their course due to personnel reasons should pay of Rs.29,500/- including GST@18% i.e. 25000+4500 (Rupees Twenty Nine Thousand Five Hundred only) through DD/ online payment in favour of the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. On receipt of the representation of candidate which forwarded by Principal along with DD, the University shall issue discontinuation orders after due procedures. The Principal of the respective Nursing College shall relieve the candidate on receipt of the discontinuation orders from University.

COLLEGE REGULATIONS:

Candidates are required to follow the rules and regulations of the college and should also abide by the regulations of the University. Under any circumstances candidates should not make any correspondence with the higher authorities of Government/Dr. NTR UHS directly without routing through proper channel.

BOND TO SERVE THE EMPLOYER/GOVERNMENT:

All in-service candidates of Medical & Health Dept., on admission have to execute a bond on a non judicial stamp paper worth of Rs.100/- (Rupees hundred only) embodying the conditions of training and agreeing to serve the Employer/State Government for a period of at least 5 years on successful completion of the course, in any capacity as the Government may consider suitable and in default they shall be Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) besides refund of the amount received as salary up to the date to the Government as prescribed in Annexure - VI.

EXAMINATIONS:

The candidates shall have to appear for such examinations as prescribed by the University from time to time.

Important Instructions to the candidates: -

1. The process of admissions into M.Sc., (N) Courses will be in accordance with the orders issued by Govt. of A.P. vide G.O.Ms.No.338, HM&FW (K2) Dept., dt.16.09.2008, G.O.Ms.No.33, HM&FW(C2) Dept., dt.18-02-2020 and other rules as applicable to PG Medical and Dental courses.

2. Any orders that may be issued from time to time by University, Govt. of A.P. and INC, New Delhi and other rules as applicable to PG Medical and Dental courses.

3. The candidates are advised to download and read the Prospectus of the course and instructions for filling Online Application available in the University Website before filling the online Application.

4. Same application will be considered for all phases of the counseling.

5. The certificates verification will be conducted basing on the uploaded scanned certificates. No separate notification will be given for verification of original certificates.

6. The merit list will be prepared basing on the marks obtained in B.Sc., (N)/ B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) group subjects (all subjects) up to two decimal places excluding computer sciences and English marks.

7. Hence, the candidates should register and upload all the mandatory certificates without fail and verify once again before submission of online application.

8. As the Merit list will be prepared basing on Group subjects, the candidates while filling up of Online application, shall enter the total marks excluding English marks & Computer Science Marks as the case may be.

9. Scrutiny of uploaded data will be done by the University and officials from the concerned Departments. After scrutiny of scanned certificates, provisional merit list will be released and final merit list will be released later.

10. The On-line application form with the following lacunae will be rejected automatically. No communication will be sent in this regard.

a. If any of the mandatory certificates are not uploaded.

b. Applications with incomplete details / photo and signature.

c. If any of the uploaded certificates are invisible/not properly uploaded.

d. If the certificates are not properly scanned due to which the eligibility criteria cannot be determined.

11. The candidates claiming reservation under PwD category are advised to watch the University website for further notifications and should present him/herself before Medical Board to be constituted by Dr.NTR UHS.

12. The candidate should submit the Printout of the filled in Online application form, Provisional verification form and all original certificates along with One set of self- attested copies to the Principal of allotted college at the time of joining for final verification. In case of any discrepancy, the Provisional allotment order will be cancelled without any notice. The candidates are informed not to send the print out of application form to the University.

13. Candidates admission is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the Merit position issued to him /her does not imply that his/her candidature is accepted by the University and it does not mean that the entries made by him / her in the online application are accepted as true and correct. An in-eligible candidate obtaining Merit position does not make him/her eligible for admission.

14. The candidates eligibility for admission into M.Sc., (N) courses for the academic year 2025-26 will be examined by the University officials and officials of the concerned department only basing on the uploaded scanned original certificates.

15. If the information furnished by candidate in the application is incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled and further action that deems fit will be taken. If the certificates produced by any candidate are found to be fake / false/forged at any stage of verification or admission, the University has every right to cancel the seat / admission of such candidate without any notice. In case of discrepancy in the downloaded provisional verification form, the same shall be brought to the notice of the University immediately.

16. Candidates are informed that final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college of admission and in case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be cancelled and action may be initiated as per University Regulations.

17. Subsequent notifications with regard to web counseling will be notified on the University website only. Visit the University website in regularly for subsequent notifications/instructions till the completion of admission process.
