UP DGME NEET PG Counselling 2021: 2,582 MD, MS, PG Diploma seats up for grabs in Round 1

Lucknow: There are a total of 2582 PG medical seats available for the Round 1 session of NEET PG Counselling 2021 in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The information to this effect comes from a recent notification uploaded on the official website of Directorate of Medical Education Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) wherein the counselling body released the details for admissions to MD, MS, MDS, PG, Diploma Courses in the state medical colleges.

The brochure also lists down the details of the courses at the various government and private medical colleges in the state.

Round 1 NEET PG Counselling in Government medical colleges

In Government Medical institutes, a total number of 1043 seats are available for Round 1 with the maximum number of seats in MD Anesthesia having 117, MS Gynaecology 101, MS Surgery 94, MD Medicine and MD Pediatric each 79.

The total available AIQ seats are 512, of which 412 are recognized and 100 are permitted seats.

The Total seats are available for the State quota will be 531 in which 423 recognized and 105 permitted and 03 unrecognized in only State quota seats are available for NEET PG 2021 U.P Counseling.

Category-wise distribution of seats will be as per the rule of U.P Govt and 5% horizontal compartmentalized reservation is available for physically handicapped category candidates as per norms laid down by the Medical Council of India for the same. Further Number of available seats may vary before counseling commencement and the number of Seats may increase or decrease subject to approval from NMC.

Round 1 NEET PG Counselling in Private Medical Colleges

In Private Medical institutes, a total number of 1539 MD, MS and PG Diploma seats are available for Round 1 PG medical counselling session.

The maximum number of seats are available in MD Medicine 185,  MS Surgery 167, MS Anesthesia 140, MS Orthopedics 111, and MS Pediatric 110.
